Christian Schneider raised and then faced a three-bet shove by Ramo Balic for 241,000 total. The very reluctant call by Schneider followed and his pocket pair was trailing.
Ramo Balic: J♠J♦
Christian Schneider: 6♠6♥
Schneider instantly pulled into the lead with the K♥6♦5♥ flop, then retained the lead throughout the 8♥ turn and 10♦ river to send Balic to the payout desk.
Adem Marjanovic bet 32,000 from under the gun and was called by Miroslav Forman in the cutoff, Julien Sitbon on the button and David Boyaciyan in the small blind.
The flop of K♣10♦4♣ saw Forman lead out for 40,000 which got a fold from Sitbon and Boyaciyan, but Marjanovic made the call.
The K♦ turn gave Forman the impetus to bet 200,000 and was met with a shove from Marjanovic for 638,000 which was called by Forman.
Adem Marjanovic: A♠K♠
Miroslav Forman: K♥Q♥
A huge cooler as the case king lands on the turn to give both players trip kings. The 8♦ completed the board and Marjanovic secured a massive double up.
Virgile Turchi took on Barny Boatman and made it 125,000 to go with 280,000 behind on the A♦K♣4♦7♣ turn. Boatman gave it some thought and folded.
One table over, Dennis Wilke raised to 32,000 and Deividas Butnoras called in the big blind. The duo headed to the J♦4♥4♠ flop on which Butbnoras checked. Wilke bet 22,000 and took it down.
Stefan Bittger lost a flip with pocket jacks against the A♦K♣ of David Boyaciyan to hit the rail.
The all-in showdowns kept on coming, though, as Traian Stanciu became the next casualty just prior to that. He was up with A♥K♣ against the 5♦5♥ of [Removed:490] via three-bet shove for 272,000.
On a board of 8♠6♠2♣7♠10♥, the mighty pair held and the field was down to the last five tables.
Very little time passed before Candido Cappiello three-bet to 170,000 with 25,000 behind. Christian Schneider four-bet jammed and Cappiello eventually called.
Candido Cappiello: A♣J♦
Christian Schneider: A♠Q♣
Schneider was ahead all the way and made trips on the 8♠7♦4♣Q♥Q♠ board.
Andrei Spataru then survived his short-stacked all-in against Schneider for 83,000 with K♦K♣ versus A♣6♥.
All the chips went into the middle preflop when Timo Kamphues moved all in from the big blind for 400,000 and was called by Zlatin Penev in the hijack.
Timo Kamphues: Q♠Q♣
Zlatin Penev: K♦K♥
Penev was in the lead and after the flop of K♣Q♦6♥ both players made a set. Kamphues could not find his one-outer though as the 7♥5♦ completed the board to move Penev towards the top of the chip rankings, while Kamphues headed for the exit.
Klas Krueger moved all in from under the gun for 140,000 and was called by Alexander Kleinhans in the big blind.
Klas Krueger: 10♥9♥
Alexander Kleinhans: K♣Q♦
Krueger could not connect with his suited connectors, as Kleinhans improved to trip queens after the board of A♣3♦2♦Q♠Q♥ to send Krueger out of the competition.
Albert Gorelik got it in ahead with A♦K♥ versus A♣Q♥ and asked for a king on the flop when at risk against Candido Cappiello. He then changed his mind to hearts on a A♥J♥3♥ flop and that wish was granted with the 6♥ turn, making the 3♣ river meaningless.
Gorelik lost most of the profit soon after when he paid off a bet worth 140,000 by Deividas Butnoras out of the big blind on the 8♠8♥2♥5♥2♠ river. Butnoras tabled the 8♣4♣ for eights full of deuces to win the pot.
