Just two days remain of the 2023 World Series of Poker, with 13 of the 15 bracelets already awarded to their rightful owners. The penultimate piece of WSOP hardware will be handed out later today following the conclusion of Event #15: 2023 NLH Closer, while the €10,350 Main Event bracelet will not find its new home until tomorrow's final day of the series.
As it stands, Yulian Bogdanov (6,200,000) is best positioned to add the coveted title to his trophy cabinet as the Bulgarian maestro comes into Day 4 with the biggest stack, which begins at 12 p.m. CEST inside King's Resort in Rozvadov.
Ruslan Volkov (5,595,000) and Jacob Amsellem (5,550,000) round out the top three chip counts. Joining the aforementioned trio are 32 other hopefuls who all have their eyes set on the €1.5 million winner's prize, and there is a plethora of talent amongst that group with the likes of triple crown winner Davidi Kitai (2,575,000) and Michael Rocco (3,395,000) still in contention.
The field also includes two WSOP Main Event runner-ups. Dario Sammartino (4,975,000) came agonizingly close in Vegas at the 2019 WSOP and finished second to Hossein Ensan. Last year's silver medalist in Rozvadov Jonathan Pastore (1,600,000) also has the opportunity to go one better but will need to produce a little bit of magic as he finds himself in the bottom half of the chip counts.
Day 4's aim is to whittle down the field to the official final table and perhaps even as far as the final six players.

Armin Rezaei: A♦A♥
Timo Kamphues: A♠9♠
Rezaei was a big favorite with his aces as the board came 9♦8♥K♦K♣Q♠. Kamphues couldn't improve beyond his flopped pair of nines as he handed over the double up.

Eusebiu Jalba opened to 80,000 from the hijack. Adam Siwicki considered his options from the cutoff for a few moments but opted to preserve his short stack and folded. Aaron Duczak folded in the small blind while Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart called from the big.
Mazza-Boussemart check-called bets of 80,000 and 180,000 for the final board to read A♦K♠9♥2♠A♣. Mazza-Boussemart check-called a bet of 250,000 which saw Jalba table A♥10♦ for trip aces. Mazza-Boussemart appeared frustrated before mucking his cards.
Siwicki then told the dealer he was pretty sure he folded a red ace. The dealer looked through the cards but there was nothing wrong with the deck, which received a few laughs from the table.
"Good morning," joked someone at the table.
