Edmond Jahjaga opened to 700,000 in the cutoff and Merijn van Rooij thought for a minute before shoving all in for 2,875,000 in the big blind. Jahjaga asked for a count and then flicked in a chip to call.

Merijn van Rooij: {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Edmond Jahjaga: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The flop fell {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Jahjaga held firm with his pocket nines. The {10-Spades} on the turn left Van Rooij drawing to just an ace. It was the {6-Diamonds} on the river and Van Rooij was eliminated in 10th place.

Roman Krahula shipped all in for 2,800,000 in early position on the very first hand of the day. Matteo Calzoni threw in some chips to call on his left and the rest of the table folded.

Roman Krahula: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Matteo Calzoni: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Krahula stayed in front with his pair of tens. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn made a full house for Krahula and the {2-Clubs} on the river was insignificant.
