Heidel's Four-Bet Preflop Scoops Pot

Nível 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Oliver Heidel
Oliver Heidel

Cristinel Costin opened to 9,000 from the hijack, Martynas Racinskas then raised to 27,000 on the button before Heidel four-bet to 80,000.

Costin quickly folded, however Racinskas went into the tank. After trying to gauge how much his opponent had behind he ultimately folded and the dealer pushed the pot to Heidel.

Vivian Saliba had been at that table for the duration of the event, however she has since been eliminated.

Curcu Takes Madanzhiev Out

Nível 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Stoyan Madanzhiev
Stoyan Madanzhiev

The flop read {8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Simon Taberham checked in the big blind. Sebastian Curcu bet 8,000 from the under-the-gun position for Stoyan Madanzhiev to make the call in the cutoff while Taberham got out of their way.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Curcu continued with a bet of 29,000 which Madanzhiev called.

The {4-Hearts} completed the board and Curcu put in a stack of chips to put Madanzhiev all-in. The latter tanked for a while, looked at his own stack, peeked at his cards once more, before taking more time. In the end, he made the call for the 60,500 he had behind with the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for top pair but Curcu held the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for the turned set.

Hamoun Habibi
Hamoun Habibi

Giuseppe Positano was already gone from the table but his {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} were still open on the table while the dealer was counting out his stack.

Hamoun Habibi's stack of 160,700 was already dissected while his {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} were revealed in front of him. The board read {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to show that Habibi had flopped a set to bust Positano.

Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

Jack Sinclair bet 2,500 from under-the-gun and was quickly met with a 7,500 three-bet from Alessio La Francesca. Ashkan Khartimi called from the button and Sinclair also completed.

With over 22,000 in the pot, the flop fell {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Sinclair checked and La Francesca continued for a further 11,000. The button got of the way before Sinclair made it 25,000. La Francesca called.

The {9-Clubs} turned was checked by Sinclair, who then called his opponent's bet of 18,000. The {q-Hearts} river went chech-check and Sinclair tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. La Francesca turned over {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} before the dealer mucked the cards.

Vivian Saliba
Vivian Saliba

Jonas ten Cate limped in early position before Ahmed Abdellatif made it 2,500. Vivian Saliba called, as did Cristenel Costin in the big blind and Ten Cate.

Abdellatif continued on the {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop for 3,000 and only Saliba called. The {6-Clubs} turn checked through to the {7-Clubs} river and Abdellatif bet 6,500. Saliba took around 20 seconds before calling, her opponent turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} which was no good versus her {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Welcome to Day 1a of Event #3: €1,350 NLH Mini Main Event

Vangelis Kaimakamis
Vangelis Kaimakamis

The third bracelet event, Event #3: €1,350 NLH Mini Main Event, of the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) kicks off on Monday, November 22 at 4 p.m. CET at King's Resort, Rozvadov.

Today will see the first of three starting flights get underway, before a winner is crowned on Friday, November 26. The event is expected to have a massive field and comes with a €600,000 guarantee.

The four-figure buy-in will give a player a 100,000 starting stack and should all those chips disappear, players can fire a second bullet as this event permits one re-entry.

Levels will last 40 minutes and Day 1a will finish when 15% of the field remains. Blinds begin at 100/300/300a and late registration will close after Level 12 (approx. 2:25 a.m.), which also marks the end of the re-entry period.

As it stands, all Day 1's will end once 15% of the field is left. Day 2 will see play come to a close when the final table has been reached and Day 3 is when we will find out who the new Mini Main Event champion is.

Greece's Vangelis Kaimakamis took down the Mini Main Event in 2019 and collected the first-place prize of €167,056 ($184,596) as well as the WSOP gold bracelet.

Other notables who cashed the tournament last time round include the legendary Viktor Blom (112th - €1,793), Allen Kessler (89th - €1,858) and Jeff Lisandro (14th - €7,335).

Be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews for all the updates from King's Resort!
