Winner's Reaction

"It's beautiful, it's a beautiful feeling and I am very happy," Bise told PokerNews on what it feels like to win over a quarter of a million euros, a WSOP bracelet and a ticket to the Main Event. On being the first Swiss player to have two circuit rings and a bracelet he said "Yes, very proud, I won the WSOP Circuit Main Event here three years ago but this is very special,"

His WSOPE is not over as his plan for the rest of the series is adding another bracelet and big score by "winning the Main Event." On why he loves playing in the Czech Republic, he explained "King's (Resort, Rozvadov) is my second home, I love the WSOP and big series, the WSOP is my series" he emphasized after his win as well complimenting the set-up and personnel.

Bise after the event had a lot of love for people on his rail as well as those watching and personally thanked everyone nearby for watching him win.

Final Table Recap

Ciro Perna started the day as the chip leader and put pressure on the shorter stacks. But it was Vivian Saliba who would take out Omid Kamali Novin. She would see Pablo Finini bust before she had to leave the table too.

Things didn't go to plan for Perna as he doubles others up a few times and before failing to bluff Rolf van Brug on the deuce-eight-trey-six-deuce board with his ace-queen for the latter to catapult to the chip lead.

2018 WSOPE Main Event champion Jack Sinclair was out in fifth place after he shoved his king-five into the ace-king of Gicovanu. Alessandro Pichierri was next to go after having been in the middle of the pack for most of the final table.

Van Brug's run ended in third place when he ran his last 8.5 big blinds into the pocket eights of Gicovanu with ten-nine. With a 2:1 chip lead, Gicovanu went into the heads-up battle with some confidence.

He was close to winning but Bise rivered two pair to double up the first to take the chip lead away from the Romanian. Bise then shoved with king-nine and Gicovanu called with ace-trey. Bise flopped two pair, Gicovanu turned a flush draw for some extra outs but the river completed the board with the jack for a full house and a bracelet for the Swiss and local favorite.
