The Final Table is Set in Event #11: €1,650 NLH 6-Max

Nível 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Tony Tran

The official final table has been set in Event #11: €1,650 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Max after just nine hours on Day 2. Tony Tran will lead the way when the action resumes tomorrow after bagging up a healthy stack of 5,080,000 chips.

All six of the remaining players have outlasted a field of 535 entries that created a prize pool of €762,375. They have each locked up at least €22,410 but will have their sights set on the top prize of €158,616. Also, they will each be in search of taking home their first World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Tran vaulted to the chip lead just shortly after the money bubble burst and he confirmed himself as the leader after clashing with Zlatin Penev in one of the final hands of the night. Tran put his entire stack at risk but got a fold from Penev that vaulted the American to over 5,000,000 chips.

He will be joined at the final table by local Czech poker pros Josef Snejberg (4,005,000) and Jan Bednar (1,820,000). Both Snejberg and Bednar have an accomplished resume here at King's Resort but this would go down as their biggest wins to date. Simone Andrian (4,450,000), Norbert Baumgartner (3,785,000), and Penev (2,240,000) round out the remaining six players.

Day 2 Action

There were 91 players who returned to their seats for Day 2 which kicked off at 10 a.m. local time. They were 10 spots off the money but it didn't take long for the bubble to be reached. Just halfway into the first level, the clock was paused for the hand-for-hand portion of the tournament. Unfortunately for Henning Andre, his pocket kings were cracked by Tran's queen-deuce when Tran hit running queens on the turn and the river.

Some notables that hit the rail after guaranteeing at least a min-cash include Jessica Teusl, Pete Chen, Mykola Kostyrko, Michal Mrakes, Tobias Peters, Stuart Rutter, and Merijn van Rooij. Julien Sitbon and Fahredin Mustafov exited the tournament in the final two tables and it was Vadzim Lipauka who was eliminated on the final table bubble.

The players will return tomorrow at 12 p.m. noon local time on the feature table. The live stream will be broadcast starting at 6:30 p.m. at which point the live updates will commence. The blinds will resume on level 27 at 40,000/80,000 and a big blind ante of 80,000 and will increase in 40-minute increments.

Keep it locked in as the PokerNews live reporting team brings you all of the updates en route to crowning a new WSOP Europe champion.
