Loeser Doubles Through Burns

Nível 15 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Stud

Manig Loeser: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} / {6-Diamonds}
Kahle Burns: {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / {6-Spades}

On fourth street, Viktor Blom bet, Kahle Burns raised, Manig Loeser made it three bets, Blom folded, and Burns called. Loeser's final 7,500 went in on fifth street.

The dealer didn't provide the traditional sweat on the river, instead flipping both cards face-up right away to a little dismay of the players. Loeser's two pair was superior and he doubled up.

Starting the day in the role of chipleader is four-time bracelet winner Jeff Madsen with a stack of 336,500. Madsen had a strong day and eliminated Philipp Zukernik and Marek Blasko on his way to the chip lead, both in Pot-Limit Omaha hands. Following Madsen is Sweden's wonder-kid Viktor Blom who bagged 302,000 chips after the first day, where he was chipping up from the beginning and went all the way to finish second in the chipcounts.

Another four-time bracelet winner, Eli Elezra, is rounding up the top three with 252,000. A star-studded field, consists of many big names such as Phil Hellmuth (145,000), Daniel Negreanu (84,500), number one in the 2019 WSOP Player of the Year race Robert Campbell (45,500), and Jeff Lisandro (44,500).

Day 2 begins at 3 p.m. local time and more than half of the 26 remaining players will leave the event empty-handed, since only eleven of them will secure a place into the money. A winner will be crowned today according to the schedule, so stay tuned in PokerNews for everything that happens until the end of the event.
