Monster Pot for Filatov to Bust Negreanu and Almost Triple Up

Nível 12 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Anatoly Filatov
Anatoly Filatov

Daniel Negreanu had raised from under the gun and was called by Anatoly Filatov in the hijack and Manig Loeser in the big blind to create a pot of 900,000 in the middle.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Loeser checked, Negreanu continued with a bet of 300,000. Filatov raised to 700,000, Loeser responded with a three-bet-shove by putting 4 pink 500,000-value chips in.

Negreanu looked at Loeser's stack and confirmed he had less. Negreanu then called. Filatov asked for a count. The dealer and the floor confirmed Negreanu had 6,235,000 behind. Filatov took some time and then decided to call too with a bigger stack than Negreanu but shorter than Loeser.

Daniel Negreanu: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}
Anatoly Filatov: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Manig Loeser: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Loeser and Negreanu had both flopped two pair while Filatov had a set of sevens.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} which didn't change things and neither did the {6-Clubs} on the river.

Negreanu was eliminated to be sent to the cashier to reenter. Filatov's stack was counted and the dealer determined Filatov had 7,275,000 behind. After paying Filatov, Loeser had just over 800,000 left.

"These 100Ks are Real Fun!"

Nível 10 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Daniel Pidun started with a raise to 130,000 in early position and James Chen re-raised to 400,000 on the button. Phil Hellmuth flicked in a four-bet to 1,000,000 from the big blind and Pidun ripped all in for 3,450,000. Chen also pushed all in and Hellmuth couldn't get his stack of just under 2,000,000 in the middle fast enough.

Daniel Pidun: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Phil Hellmuth: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
James Chen: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Pidun was way ahead as both of his opponents had their outs blocked. The flop of {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} gave Hellmuth and Chen some backdoor outs but the {7-Clubs} on the turn brought an end to that. Hellmuth had one out left in the deck but the {6-Clubs} on the river was not it.

"These 100Ks are real fun," Hellmuth shouted as he stormed off out of the room.

Ivey Takes Chip Lead Away from Loeser

Nível 9 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Chin Wei Lim raised to 110,000 from under the gun and Phil Ivery three-bet to 400,000 in the early position. Manig Loeser four-bet to 1,150,000 in the middle position and action folded back to Lim who folded. Ivey took some time to consider his options and then decided to shove. Loeser snap-called without asking for a count.

Phil Ivey: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Manig Loeser: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for Ivey to hit a full house on the turn to double up for the 5,205,000 he had behind.

Vieira First to Fall

Nível 9 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Thomer Pidun raised to 100,000 from the middle position and action folded to Joao Vieira on the button who confirmed the amount raised with the dealer. Vieira then decided to shove for 795,000. The blinds folded and Pidun quickly made the call.

Joao Vieira: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Thomer Pidun: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} to not bring any help to Vieira as he was eliminated as the first player of the day. Ryan Riess was also eliminated just moments later.

1 PM Start for the Penultimate Day of Event #12: €100,000 Diamond High Roller No-Limit Hold’Em

Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

At 1 p.m. local time, Day 2 of Event #12: €100,000 Diamond High Roller No-Limit Hold’Em recommences in Europe’s biggest poker arena with at least 25 players in their seats out of 39 collected entries here in the King’s Resort. As the World Series of Poker Europe is nearing its final bracelet events, one of the marquee events is still featuring the crème de la crème of the poker world. With a €5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, nothing less was expected.

On the top of the chip counts is Germany’s Manig Loeser with 6,140,000 in chips, he is closely followed by Anatoly Filatov who bagged 6,100,000 last night. Thomer Pidun, Alex Foxen, and Christoph Vogelsang complete the top five in the leaderboard.

All the other familiar names are still in contention but as registration is still open, more are expected to join in on the High Roller fun or reenter after having been eliminated on Day 1. Due to the structure change on Day 1, instead of two levels of late reg, there will be four levels of 60 minutes each where players can enter or reenter the field.

New entries will receive 2,000,000 in chips and six time-banks for their €100,000 buy-in and with unlimited entries, who knows what will happen as the guarantee has not been reached yet. All returning players will receive 6 extra time-banks on top of whatever they banked on Day 1.

Day 2 will restart with Level 9 which has a small blind of 25,000, a big blind of 50,000 and a big blind ante of 50,000. A 15-minute break has been scheduled after every two levels and play will end when the final table has been reached.

All the action can be followed right here as the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor as usual.
