Neurauter Makes the Big Blind Work

Nível 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Aksel Ayguen opened to 625,000 in middle position and Hannes Neurauter called from the big blind. The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and both players checked to the {a-Hearts} on the turn.

Neurauter led out for 1,100,000 after the ace hit the turn and Ayguen mulled it over before sending his cards to the muck. Neurauter dragged in the pot to stay near the top of the leaderboard.

Ayguen Doubles Through Glinski

Nível 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Nelio Gatta raised 650,000 from the hijack, Aksel Ayguen was sitting in the small blind and decided to shove for 3,175,000. Darius Glinski did the same from the big blind with the bigger stack. Gatta quickly got out of their way.

Aksel Ayguen: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Dariusz Glinski: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} which didn't change anything to keep Glinski ahead.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds} to give Ayguen a straight draw but he needed to avoid the queen as that would give Glinski the higher straight.

The river was the {7-Hearts} to give Ayguen the straight indeed to double up.

The First 2018 WSOPE Gold Bracelet is Up for Grabs Today!

Hannes Neurauter

The opening event of the 2018 World Series of Poker Europe is drawing to a close and the first gold bracelet of this year's series will be handed out today. Only 10 players remain in Event #1: €550 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em and soon enough, one of them will be walking away with the title and €203,820.

Coming into the final day, Hannes Neurauter may be in the best position of anyone. Neurauter bagged up an impressive 11,825,000 chips, only 50,000 behind the chipleader. However, the German drew the seat directly to the left of Wojciech Wyrebski who sits with 11,875,000. Having position on the only other big stack at the table could prove to be beneficial for Neurauter as the day progresses.

As for the rest of the players, it is a relatively unknown final table with everyone making their first appearance on a final table in a WSOP event. One thing is for sure, whoever comes out on top by the end of the day will record their largest cash to date with over €200,000 for first place. Here is how the final table stacks up.

The live stream will begin right away on a 30-minute delay with hole cards being shown when just eight players are left. The blinds will resume with 29:30 remaining in level 30 at 150,000/300,000 and a 300,000 big blind ante. The blind levels will be 40-minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every three levels.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on site to bring you all of the live updates in sync with the live stream. Stay tuned to find out will be crowned this year's first WSOPE champion!
