Liran Twito (802,000), Vahid Amirzahiri (685,000) and Pim van Holsteyn (627,000) are way out in front of the remaining field heading into Day 2 of Event #6: €2,200 Pot-Limit Omaha. The next closest player only has 369,000.
The event restarts Sunday at 1 p.m. local time. The players will start only two outside the money. The final 29 players will be guaranteed at least €3,215 and the first place prize is worth €93,677 and a WSOP gold bracelet.
Three of the top ten players still vying for the WSOP Player of the Year title are still in the field. Mike Leah (142,000), John Racener (130,000) and Chris Ferguson (98,000) are all under 25 big blinds to start Day 2. Ferguson currently leads the Player of the Year race with just over a 90-point lead over the third place Racener. Leah is sitting in eighth place currently.
The bubble should burst pretty quickly at the start of play and PokerNews will have updates from the event as the players move one step closer to a WSOP gold bracelet and the WSOP Player of the Year race comes a little more into focus as WSOP Europe approaches the halfway point.
After about 15 hands of hand for hand play, Jonathan Abdellatif raised to 21,000 on the button with only 38,000 behind. Sergej Barbarez reraised the pot from the big blind.
"F@#k my life," Abdellatif said as he put in his remaining chips.
Once the players revealed their hands, Abdellatif was up against it holding against the of Barbarez.
The board ran out and Abdellatif was eliminated on the bubble.
Vahid Amirzahiri was eliminated by Krasimir Yankov. The final hand wasn't too eventful when Yankov got the last of Amirzahiri's remaining chips holding against Amirzahiri's hand which had no card higher than an eight.
Yankov flopped a set, but Amirzahiri was still drawing to a few outs with a gutshot wheel draw that missed on the river. He was eliminated.
Yankov won a couple hands from Amirzahiri earlier in the day, and it continued to get worse for him until he finally busted at the hands of Yankov.
Erik Cajelais potted from the big blind for 75,000 on a flop. Lukas Zaskodny put him all in for his last 25,000 or so after some thought.
Cajelais:
Zaskodny:
Both had flush draws, with Cajelais' nut draw and open-ender meaning he had more outs to make his hand against a lower flush and a gutter. However, he needed to improve as Zaskodny had him high-carded for the moment. The turn closed off a few outs, and the river did nothing for Cajelais.
Mustafa Jukovic limped in from middle position and Sumit Sapra shoved for about 25,000 on the button. Alexandre Viard reshipped to put Jukovic all in and he called off with his short stack.

Viard:
The board ran out , giving Sapra a backdoor flush for a triple. Jukovic lost the side pot when Viard hit two pair on the river, eliminating him.
Krasimir Yankov opened for 37,000 under the gun. Alexandre Viard called on the button and Angelo Benedetto made it three to the flop. Benedetto checked, Yankov bet 88,000 and Viard potted. Benedetto mucked and Yankov put Viard at risk for about 400,000 total.
Yankov:
Viard:
The turn gave Yankov a flush draw to go with his top wrap, and the river got him there, much to the chagrin of Viard, who flicked in his last chip and briskly walked away from the table.
