Lakhov Runs Out a Dub

Nível 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Alexander Lakhov
Alexander Lakhov

Alexander Lakhov shoved all in for 3,650 second to act. A player on his left reshipped, isolating Lakhov.

Lakhov: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flopped, making it look for all the world like Lakhov was finished. The turn and river had other ideas as they came {q-Hearts} {5-Hearts} for a backdoor flush and a double.

Kessler Finds a Double After Dream Flop

Nível 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Allen Kessler was all in from the small blind and calmly eating the food he had brought back from break when we got to his table. The board read {j-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{k-Spades} and "Chainsaw" was in there for 4,650. His opponent in early position splashed in a call but saw his {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, although good for a straight, was drawing dead to Kessler's {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. The meaningless river was a {2-Diamonds}.

Gegic Running Up Bullet Two

Nível 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Rifat Gegic's second bullet is going better than his first. He's up to almost 30,000 after a recent pot where he was on the button against a cutoff opponent on a final board of {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Gegic's opponent fired 2,000 on the end and Gegic quickly called.

The cutoff mucked and Gegic dragged the pot without showing. However, the dealer sought to clarify whether the cutoff was mucking and that player then turned over {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a whiffed gutter. Gegic responded by turning over his {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Clinkscales Doubles on River

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Rex Clinkscales opened to 1,000 under the gun and got two callers on his immediate left. Action folded to the big blind, who splashed in 5,000 on top of his blind. Clinkscales immediately jammed for 8,150. Everyone else folded, and the big blind called.

Big blind: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Clinkscales: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The race was on and Clinkscales looked to be on the short end after {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Spades} hit the board, but the {k-Hearts} river saved him.

Top Full Again for Bicknell

Nível 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Kristen Bicknell moved all in from the big blind for about 7,000 effective on a completed board of {9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Her opponent in middle position hemmed and hawed for a bit before sighing and committing his remaining stack. Bicknell rolled over {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for jacks full and the other player sent {8-}{8-} into the muck.

MacPhee Shows One

Nível 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

In for what we believe to be his second bullet of Day 1b, Kevin MacPhee fired 2,225 against two opponents who checked to him out of the blinds on {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}. Only the big blind called. On the {q-Spades} turn, the big blind checked after both looked at their hole cards again. MacPhee bet 4,200 and that convinced his opponent to relinquish the pot.

MacPhee turned over the {a-Spades} with a smile.
