It's a new day and it's a new flight of Event #5: THE COLOSSUS - €550 No-Limit Hold'em at the King's Casino in Rozvadov. Day 1C is set to begin at 12:00 P.M. of this inaugural event at the World Series of Poker Europe.

There have been three editions of this tournament in Las Vegas but this is the first time it has made an appearance in Europe. After the first two flights concluded yesterday, there were a total of 23 players advancing to Day 2. Flight A saw a total of 155 entries and flight B attracted 210 entries. Today is expected to see more players walk through the doors as the weekend begins.

As is the case with all of the flights, players will play a total of 18 levels or until the final 11 players are reached. The blind levels will be 30-minutes in length with a 20-minute break at the end of every four levels. Everyone will start the day with 10,000 chips and will be allowed one re-entry per flight.

Ivo Donev raised to 150 from the cutoff and was called by the button and the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the big blind checked. Donev continued for 225 and the button folded while the big blind stuck around to see the {j-Diamonds} on the turn.

Both players checked to the {k-Hearts} on the river and the big blind checked one more time. Donev made a small bet of 200 and his opponent called. Donev showed him {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for two pair and his opponent mucked.

With the board reading {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, the big blind led out for 650 into a pot of around 1,100. Konstantino Tsirakidis raised to 1,525 from middle position and his opponent made the call.

The river landed the {6-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Tsirakidis. He quickly tossed in his remaining 5,125 chips and his opponent called just as fast. Tsirakidis turned over the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for quad tens while his opponent showed {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.
