Eames Continues To Climb

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

John Eames is now the chip leader on his table after turning a straight in a three-way pot.

Brandon Cantu raises to 275 from under the gun, next to act is Winfred Yu and he puts three black 100 chips into the middle and makes the call. Everyone folds to Eames in the big blind and he makes the call.

The dealer puts out the {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} flop and all three players decide to check their option to bet. The turn is the {8-Diamonds} and again all three players check. The turn is the {Q-Hearts} and now Eames bets 1,125. Cantu quickly calls, Yu folds and Eames reveals {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a turned straight. Cantu cannot beat this and he mucks.

Short and not so Sweet for Hellmuth

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Phil Hellmuth didn't hang around too long as he just busted to Hasan Anter.

These two players and Tobias Reinkemeier saw a {3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} flop. Reinkemeier led out for 500 from the BB and Hellmuth raised this up to 1,000 from mid position. Anter wasted little time in check-raising all-in for around 9,500 from the small blind. The German folded but Hellmuth had a harder decision.

"I can beat a lot of hands", said Hellmuth. "I can't beat a set though", he continued.

He eventually called off his remaining 5,050 to find out his initial instincts were correct. Anter tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for middle set, beating Hellmuth's {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The board ran out {9-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Vamplew Loses Ground

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

On a flop reading {J-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Spades} Cliff Josephy checks, as does [Removed:247] but Mark Teltscher who has a beautiful red Ferrari parked outside the casino, bets 625. Next to act is David Vamplew on the button and he raises to 1,625 putting the action back on Josephy. He takes another look at his holecards before asking Vamplew to move his arms so he can count his stack, which is 4,500. The man known to many as "Johnny Bax" folds.

Folding is not on [Removed:250]'s hands and he check-raises to what looks like 6,000 but we did not get the chance to count it as both Teltscher and Vamplew snap-folded.

Pot Control from Dwan

Nível 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Tom Dwan is up to 9,000 chips now after happily checking behind on two streets to get to showdown.

Michael Telker raised to 250 from UTG and Dwan and one other called to see a {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} flop revealed. Telker continued for 525 and Dwan was the only caller. Both players checked through the {2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} turn and river and Telker tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. He lost out to Dwan's {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Dwan Moves in on Rousso

Nível 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Scott Lipshutz opens to 300 from under the gun and the action folds to Tom Dwan in the cutoff. He checks his cards and calls, as does Vanessa Rousso in the big blind.

The flop comes down {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, Rousso checks, Lipshutz checks, Dwan makes it 700 to play only to see Rousso check-raise to 1,500. Lipshutz gets out of the way but Dwan wastes little time in moving all in for just over 5,000 chips. As quickly as Dwan had bet, Rousso had mucked.

The Other Room

Nível 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

We've just found out that another overspill room exits the other side of the foyer. It holds two tables that couldn't fit in the main room.

Tony G and Maria Ho share a table and the former just lost a small pot. He made it 275 from UTG and Kirill Telezhkin was the only caller from two seats along. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and G's 525 c-bet was quickly called by the Russian. The turn came {5-Spades} and G gave up as he check-folded to a 800 bet to drop to 7,800 chips.

On the way back to the main room we noticed Marvin Rettenmaier with his hands in his head, sat at the fountain in the courtyard. Not a good sign; presumed out.

News in Brief

Nível 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Whilst watching Isaac Haxton lose a small pot to a player, Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott walked past and confirmed his exit when we asked. "It took a royal flush to get rid of me, baby" was his explanation.

A short while after, Fabrice Soullier was another player risking the lot. He was heads-up with a player on a {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop and when the action was checked to him, he moved all-in for a pot-sized 4,350. His opponent took a t least five minutes to fold. Soullier showed one card, the {j-Diamonds}. He's back to a little less than his starting stack.
