Dario Sammartino Takes One from Michael Kamran

Nível 18 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Dario Sammartino raised to 230,000 from under the gun and was called by Michael Kamran in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Kamran checked. Sammartino bet out 150,000. Kamran called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and both players opted to check before the {2-Diamonds} completed the board.

Kamran then reached for his chips and slid out 580,000. Sammartino went into the tank for a minute, then called.

Sammartino watched as Kamran tabled {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for six high before revealing his {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for two pairs and the winning hand.

Raise-Fold for Hellmuth

Nível 18 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth opened the hijack for 240,000, and big blind Andrew Robl called. Robl check-called 210,000 on {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Hearts} before leading out 550,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn that paired the board. Hellmuth studied Robl for a bit, then announced a raise to 1.3 million. Robl thought about it for just a bit before he shoved for about 3.3 million total.

"You finally sucked out on me, huh?" Hellmuth asked.

Robl did not respond initially, and continued to not respond as Hellmuth went on a bit of a tirade.

"Six-seven or some shit?" Hellmuth asked, trying to get a response.

Hellmuth eventually folded, and Robl silently collected the chips.

Michael Kamran Doubles Through Andrew Robl

Nível 18 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

The action folded around to Andrew Robl in the small blind. He looked down at his cards, then reached for his 100,000-denomination chips and slid out a tower, putting Michael Kamran all in. Kamran immediately called after checking his cards.

Kamran: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Robl: {q-Spades}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} to see Kamran improve to a set of nines on the flop, earning him the pot and the double-up..

"Easy come, easy go," said Robl following the hand, after recently taking down a big pot against Phil Hellmuth.

Chip Counts at Break

Nível 18 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

The 14 remaining players are on a 20-minute break. When they return, two more levels are scheduled before the players go on a dinner break. The plan is still to play down to nine players, though they might play down to eight if it's still early when the final table is reached.
