The starting field of 623 players is down to just 32 players, each looking to capture the first-place prize of $618,285 and a World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Following a flop of , Mike Vanier checked from the small blind and Julian Stuer bet 30,000 from the big blind. Vanier check-raised all in with a covering stack and Stuer called all in for about 310,000.

Thomas Boivin raised to 35,000 from under the gun, Dong Zhao three-bet shoved from the button for 245,000, Pascal Hartman reshoved from the small blind, and Boivin folded.

Action folded to Simon Lam in the small blind who shoved all in. Damian Salas instantly called off his stack of 297,000 in the big blind.

Lam was in a deep hole from the start but connected on the flop. Salas stood up from his chair and said some things in Spanish as the dealer burned and turned the .
Salas was still ahead, but the landed on the river to change all that. Salas' aces were cracked and he slammed his chair in disgust on the way out.
Barny Boatman opened to 42,000 from under the gun, Norberto Korn called from the next seat over, Simon Lam three-bet to 160,000 from the cutoff, Yaron Zeev Malki four-bet to 425,000 from the small blind, and Pierre Neuville tanked in the big blind for quite a while before he folded.
Boatman took some time as well before he folded, Korn five-bet shoved for 1,049,000, Lam folded, and Malki called.
