A short-stacked Wesley Hickey was all in against Yosuke Sekiya. Hickey's final board read for a pair of tens, but Sekiya had him beat with for trip queens to score the elimination.
On fourth street, Yueqi Zhu bet, and Marcel Luske called. On fifth street, Zhu bet again, and Luske called. The betting lead changed on sixth street when Luske made a pair of twos, and he bet. Zhu called, and Luske bet again on seventh street. Zhu thought for a little while and called.
Luske showed for a pair of twos, and Zhu's for two pair was good for the pot.
A short-stacked Gerald Cheatham was all in with split aces but was unable to hold up, as Jonathan Ulrich made a wheel to eliminate Cheatham in 22nd place.
Yosuke Sekiya completed, and Ian Johns raised. Sekiya called. On fourth street, Johns bet, and Sekiya called. On fifth street, Johns bet, Sekiya raised, and Johns called. Johns check-called a bet on sixth street, and he checked dark on seventh street. Sekiya checked back.
Johns tabled for nines full. Sekiya mucked, and Johns took down the pot.
Marcel Luske completed, Joseph Couden raised, and Yueqi Zhu made it three bets. Luske called, and Couden called all in for less. There was 4,000 in the side pot between Luske and Zhu.
On fourth street, Zhu bet, and Luske called. On fifth street, Zhu bet again, and Luske called. They both checked sixth street, and Luske bet with a pair of threes showing on seventh street. Zhu thought briefly and folded.
Luske showed for trip threes, and Couden tossed his face-up into the middle as he made his exit.
Couden was the first elimination in Brasilia, taking home $3,142 for 23rd place.
Just after Bernard Rygol busted out in 26th place, Ivan Schertzer was eliminated in 25th place for $2,745, and at another table, Peter Eichhardt busted moments later. Eichhardt received a payout of $3,142 for his 24th-place finish.
The remaining 23 players have redrawn for new seats and are heading over to Brasilia to continue play. The three-table redraw will be posted shortly.
