Alexander Freund got short-stacked but just won a couple in a row.
Wes Hickey completed, Dan Heimiller raised, and Freund made it three bets. Hickey folded, and Heimiller called. On fourth street, Freund went all in for 2,900 with a pair of tens showing. Heimiller sighed and said, "This is a situation where... okay, I have to call," and he put the chips in.

Freund was ahead with trip tens, and his runout was , giving him an ace-high flush. Heimiller only improved to two pair with , and Freund got the double-up.
The very next hand, Freund kept improving again, this time against Bryan Slick.

Freund bet with two aces showing on fourth street and Bryan Slick called. Ian Johns folded and Freund got another ace on fifth street. He bet again and Slick laughed before folding his cards.
Chris Tryba was the bring-in, Oxana Cummings called, Yueqi Zhu completed, Tryba folded, and Cummings called.
Zhu check-called bets from Cummings on both fourth and fifth streets. Once he caught an open pair of jacks on sixth street, Zhu bet. Cummings called, and both players checked on seventh street.
Zhu showed for trip jacks, Cummings mucked, and Zhu won the pot.
Zach Bassett and Dan Zack both entered the pot on third street, and Bassett bet fourth street. Zack called, and Bassett bet again on fifth street. Zack called again, and the betting lead switched to Zack on sixth street. He bet, and Bassett called. On seventh street, Zack bet, and Bassett called all in for 600 chips.
Zack showed for two pair, jacks and sixes, and Bassett rolled over and let out a sigh of relief.
"I had to get it on the river. I had a pair of kings but needed to pair another card," Bassett said. He ended up with a better two pair, kings and eights, to double through.
There was more than 10,000 in the pot and action was on fifth street. All three players in the hand checked, and on sixth street, Mike Puskarich bet out with a pair of fours showing. Dan Heimiller and Dan Zack both called. On seventh street, it checked to Zack, and he bet. Puskarich and Heimiller both folded, and Zack took down the pot.
Action was on fourth street and Marcel Luske bet. Adam Owen called and Ivan Schertzer called. On fifth street, Luske bet again and this time, Owen folded and Schertzer called. On sixth street, Luske bet and Schertzer called.
Luske checked on seventh street and called a bet from Schertzer. "Three kings," announced Schertzer, and tabled for trips. Luske showed before sending his hand to the muck.
