John Kim moved all in for his last 180,000 chips from late middle position and Gavin O'Rourke called from the small blind to put Kim at risk. O'Rourke showed and Kim tabled , so Kim had to win the race in order to double up.

The board ran out , pairing Kim's ace but giving O'Rourke a boat to win the pot and eliminate Kim.

Daniel Deveau Doubles Through Massoud Eskandari

With about 175,000 already in the pot and the board reading , Daniel Deveau and Massoud Eskandari got all the chips in the middle. Eskandari had the bigger stack by about 900,000, so Deveau was at risk, and the two players tabled their hands.

Deveau held for top pair and the nut flush draw, while Eskandari flipped over for a double gutshot. The on the turn gave Deveau trip aces, and the river gave him a boat to secure his double-up.

We caught up with a disappointed but philosophical Katie Lindsay at the payout desk having just been eliminated in creditable 67th place.

Having been well placed earlier in the day Lindsay went card dead and as the blinds crept up she lost a series of 60:40 situations which left her with 5 big blinds that went in the middle with Ace-Five. Lindsay was called by a player holding Queens and with no help from the deck that was the end if he Colossal adventure.
