Notables Busted

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Many notables registered for Day 1, but, with such a big field, it's tough for them to all make it through. Some notables to have busted so far include Kenny Hallaert, Kristen Bicknell, Maurice Hawkins, Jean-Pascal Savard, and Andy Frankenberker. Look for some or most of these players to fire another bullet in Day 1f coming up at 4 p.m.

Blair Matheson Only Player Over 100,000

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Although there were many entries in Day 1e today, it has been a struggle to crack the 100,000-chip barrier. There are a lot of players close but the only one to do so thus far is Blair Matheson from Scotland. He is sitting at around 135,000 right now and showing no signs of slowing down.

Break Time, Event 5F Begins

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Players are taking a quick 15-minute break while other players start to file in the doors for Day 1f of the Colossus III. When the action resumes, short stacks will be looking to squeak into the money with the bubble fast approaching, and the big stacks will be looking to build on their lead heading into the latter part of the day. In the meantime, if you would like to follow any of the action in Day 1f, you can follow this link.

595 Players Paid

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The tournament director has announced that 595 players will be getting paid in Day 1e with the minimum cash payout being $833. The money bubble should be bursting anytime now.

Engel Goes Runner-Runner

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The board read {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} with about 19,000 in the middle already. The action was on Ari Engel and he checked to his opponent who bet 10,000. Engel slid out a raise to about 22,500 and his opponent called. Engel tabled {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to make a flush by the river.

Engel is looking good to at least make the money in Day 1e and he is hoping to keep the success going in order to find a bag at the end of the day. Mike Leah is staying close on his heels with over 70,000 chips as well.

Sunny Dong Bursts the Money Bubble

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The flop came {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Sunny Dong was able to get all his chips in the middle holding {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for his opponent who had fewer chips, he found himself at risk with {K-}{J-}. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and the {Q-Hearts} on the river eliminated Dong's opponent on the button.

The remaining 595 players will be guaranteed a cash prize of $833.

Colton Blomberg Finds Luck in the Ladies

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The action was raised to 3,500, and Colton Blomberg called. An opponent behind him moved all in for around 14,000, and the action was folded back to Blomberg. He called, and the cards were tabled.

Blomberg: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, and the pocket queens were good enough for Blomberg to add to his stack.
