Rob Van Hoose Wins a Three-Way All-In

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Rob Van Hoose is building an early stack as he was able to get all of his chips in the middle preflop holding {Q-}{Q-}. His opponents had {10-}{10-} and {8-}{8-}. The board ran out {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, giving Van Hoose some chips to work with early on in the tournament.

Yunis and Moorman

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante
Nick Yunis
Nick Yunis

Nick Yunis, Chile's runner-up on their all-time money list with $1,176,761 in recorded live cashes, has joined the field. Just now, he was involved in a pot where he got all of his chips in.

The button opened and the small blind and big blind Yunis called. All three of them checked the {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, then the {9-Hearts} hit the turn. The small blind checked before Yunis bet 600. The button and small blind both called. After the {4-Clubs} completed the board, the small blind checked again. Yunis shoved for 2,000 total and the button was quick to toss his cards in the muck. The small blind needed some more time but eventually followed suit as she folded as well.

Besides Yunis, online legend and 888poker Ambassador Chris Moorman just took his seat.

Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

Greg Raymer looked down at {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} under the gun and just called. His opponent to his left raised to 150 and when action got back to Raymer, he reraised to 550. His opponent called.

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Raymer led out for 600. His opponent called and the {3-Spades} hit the turn. Raymer once again led out for 1,100 and his opponent once again called.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and Raymer moved all in for 2,050, and his opponent called once more. Raymer tabled his pocket kings and they were good enough to double up.

Matthew Leecy Uses Chip Stack to his Adavantage

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Matthew Leecy has found himself in the middle of the Amazon Room in the Rio Convention Center, but he is near the top of the chip counts early on in Day 1a of Event #5: THE COLOSSUS III - $565 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em.

Leecy just recently arrived at a new table with a rack of chips and he raised to 500 from early position. Both the button and the small blind called, and there were three players to the flop. The dealer fanned the flop of {Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and the small blind checked. Leecy bet 800 and both players folded allowing Leecy to scoop the pot and add to his chip stack.

Moorman Can't Raise

Nível 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Chris Moorman opened the hijack and the button called. The player in the big blind squeezed all in for 775 and Moorman pushed all in over the top. The lady on the button folded only for the dealer then to notice that a reraise by Moorman wasn't permitted as it wasn't a full raise. The push became a call, and the button took back her cards and called as well.

The two players with an active hand both checked the {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} flop and Moorman checked again on the {J-Hearts} turn. The button then moved all in and Moorman folded instantly. The big blind at risk showed {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} while the button tabled {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for Broadway. The {6-Hearts} on the river was a blank and the big blind said her goodbyes.

"Why didn't you raise?" the big blind asked, still with a smile on her face.

"I couldn't!" Moorman replied with some remorse.

Moorman, despite losing some chips in the hand, still up a lot for the day.
