Picking up the action on the turn, Nick Schulman in the small blind was involved in a hand with Chad Eveslage in the cutoff.

With the board reading 36K9 Schulman moved all in and Eveslage called to put his opponent at risk.

Chad Eveslage: 87

Schulman was ahead with his pair of kings but the 10x river improved Eveslage to a straight to send Schulman out in 13th courtesy of a bad beat.

Dan Shak Eliminated in 14th Place ($21,992)

Nível 18 : Limits 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Chad Eveslage opened from middle position and, after lengthy consideration, Dan Shak three-bet out of the small blind, leaving himself just 5,000 behind. Action folded back to Eveslage who called and, mistakenly thinking Shak was all in, turned over QJ.

The flop came 6K6, prompting Shak to go deep into the tank. Eventually, with a sigh and a declamatory "I am drawing almost dead" Shak tossed his last chip into the middle. Eveslage quickly called.

Shak was indeed drawing thin and found no help on either the 10 turn or A river to bring his tournament to a close in 14th place.

Racener Turns a Flush for the Double

Nível 18 : Limits 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
John Racener
John Racener

Maxx Coleman raised in middle position and when action folded to the big blind John Racener, he made the call.

The flop came J52 and Racener checked to Coleman, who made a bet. Racner then went for a raise, leaving just 10,000 chips behind. Coleman put in a three-bet to move Racener all in, who made the call.

Maxx Coleman: KK

Racener was behind but did have a flush draw to beat the kings of Coleman. Racener wouldn't have to wait long to see his flush come in as the turn was the 4.

Despite Racener making the flush, Coleman did have to king of spades in his hand to possibly make a higher flush.

However, the river was the 6 to secure the double up for Racener.

Shak Getting Short

Nível 18 : Limits 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Dan Shak opened from under the gun and was called by Shyamsundar Challa in the small blind.

Challa check-called a bet from Shak on the 674 flop and did so again following the 4 turn.

Both players check to showdown on the 5 river with Shak turning over 9x9x. The overpair was no good, however, as Challa had rivered a straight holding 33 to leave Shak short.
