Brewer Brewing His Success

A player in early position raised to 4,000 which saw action fold around to Chris Brewer in the hijack who three bet to 14,000 which saw action fold around to the initial raiser who called.

The flop of K♥3♠2♦ saw the early position player check over to Brewer who bet 8,000 and his opponent called.

On the 10♣ turn, action checked over to Brewer once more who bet 45,000 and his opponent wasted little time in folding to the two time bracelet winner as he looked to rise up the WSOP POY rankings.

Aksoy Leaves Borland Steaming

Quincy Borland raised to 6,000 and received three callers, including Tinay Aksoy on the button.

The flop came 2♠7♣9♣ and Borland continued for 18,000. Only Aksoy called to the 5♥ turn where Borland now checked.

Aksoy bet 37,000 and Borland called. The river came the K♠ and Borland checked again before Aksoy moved all in for 127,000.

Borland spent several minutes in the tank before calling the shove. Aksoy turned over 8♠6♠ for the turned straight and Borland slammed the table hard with his hand as he surrendered the massive pot.

Shoreman Runs Into It Late on Day 2abc

Jon Shoreman was playing for a 57,000 pot in the final stretch of Day 2, and there was a completed board of 3♠9♠10♠3♥6♦. Shoreman checked to his opponent, who opted to put out a single chip of the T-25,000 denomination for a bet of the same amount.

Shoreman instantly called but shook his head once his opponent showed the K♠Q♠ for the king-high flush. Shoreman mucked his cards and dropped back down a bit in chips after a fruitful period.

Ferraro Continues To Climb

Cole Ferraro opened to 4,500 from under the gun and only a player from early position made the call.

Both players checked the first two streets on a board showing J♠8♠3♣2♥K♣. Ferraro tossed out 10,000 on the river and his opponent took some time, but in the end folded and the pot was sent to Ferraro who inches closes to a half a million chip stack late on Day 2abc.

Bold Makes a Bold Fold

The player on the button raised to 4,500 finding two callers; the small blind and Joseph Bold in the big blind.

The flop came J♠5♠5♣ which checked through to the A♠ on the turn. The small blind took the lead for 6,000 and only Bold called.

The river fell the K♦ and the small blind emptied the clip shoving all in for 59,000. Bold eventually decided to make the fold showing 10♠8♠ for a ten-high flush.

Unfortunately, Bold's courageous hero fold backfired as the small blind flashed the tabled 9♠7♠ and was in fact value betting an inferior flush.

Brammer Makes the Call; Wins Massive Pot

According to the table, in a heads-up pot, the flop was A♥8♦7♦ when Christopher Brammer's opponent check-called. The turn was the 4♦ and this time Brammer's opponent check-raised and Brammer called to create a pot over 170,000.

The J♣ landed on the river and the initial player shoved for 121,500, putting Brammer into a big decision. After a few minutes, the clock was called and Brammer sent the chips for the call with the higher stack.

The player at risk revealed K♦Q♣ and Brammer tabled Q♦J♦ for the flush to eliminate his opponent and claim the big pot.

Fei Off to the Cash Games
