After surviving the first four rounds of heads-up play, Doug Polk leads the final four into action at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas with the WSOP gold bracelet on the line in Event #8: $25,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship.
Polk will be matched up against Sean Winter on one side of the semifinal bracket, while Chris Brewer faces Chanracy Khun for a spot in the final.
All four remaining players have locked up $192,513, with a spot in the final match worth at least $313,362. Today’s champion will take home $507,020 along with the title of WSOP heads-up champion.

After trading the first four pre-flop pots of the day, Chris Brewer raised to 30,000 and Doug Polk called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 6♥10♠4♦ flop before Polk led out for 40,000 on the 9♦ turn. Brewer folded, as Polk took a slight lead early on.

Chanracy Khun raised to 30,000 on the button and Sean Winter three-bet to 125,000 from the big blind. Khun called and the dealer fanned the flop of Q♠Q♥9♥.
Winter checked to Khun who fired out a bet of 75,000 and Winter was forced to lay his hand down.

Chris Brewer opened to 30,000 and Doug Polk called to the 3♣3♥8♣ flop.
Polk checked from the big blind, then called when Brewer continued for 25,000. The action repeated on the 6♠ turn, with Brewer firing 80,000.
Polk checked one more time on the J♠ river, calling again once Brewer fired a third time for 27,000. Brewer revealed J♣9♠ for two pair, collecting a nice pot as Polk mucked.

Chris Brewer raised to 30,000 and called when Doug Polk three-bet to 120,000 from the big blind.
Polk then led out for 80,000 on the 3♦2♠J♣ flop, with Brewer making the call.
Both players checked the 9♦ turn and again on the K♥ river. Brewer revealed 9♣7♣ for a pair of nines, adding to his chip lead as Polk folded.

Sean Winter opened to 30,000 on the button and Chanracy Khun reraised to 125,000 in the big blind. Winter called and the flop of 7♥4♣2♦ was spread across the felt.
Khun led out with a bet of 55,000 and Winter raised to 220,000. Khun just called and the 6♠ landed on the turn. Khun checked this time and Winter sized up a bet of 370,000. Khun called and the 5♣ completed the board.
Khun checked again and Winter pushed out a bet of 520,000. Khun used one of his time banks before jamming all in as the bigger of the two stacks. Winter took his shades off as he pondered his decision and mumbled to himself for a bit.
"I think ace-five is the only hand I can beat," he continued to think. After using a time bank of his own, Winter eventually called off his last 1,100,000 chips. Khun turned over 8♠7♠ for an eight-high straight while Winter was left with Q♥3♥ for a seven-high straight.
Khun has now advanced to the final to play the winner of Doug Polk or Chris Brewer while Winter was forced to settle for $192,513.
