DeGiulio Takes One from Coon

Action folded to Ryan Coon on the button who raised to 150,000 and got called by Paul DeGiulio in the big blind leading to a 9♣K♦J♣ flop.

DeGiulio announced "pot," which amounted to a 390,000-chip bet. Coon paused briefly before he tossed in the call to bring out the 4♦ on the turn.

DeGiulio bet again, this time for 500,000. But Coon wasn't going anywhere yet as he called to see the 6♦ on the river.

Action checked through to showdown and Coon turned up K♥K♣6♣4♣. His top set was second best to DeGiulio's flopped straight with Q♣10♠7♠3♣.

Jeff Madsen Eliminated in 12th Place ($8,215)

Sergio Martinez limped from early position and Jeff Madsen potted it off his short stack. Giuseppe Maggisano repotted, causing Martinez to fold and Madsen to get the rest of his chips in the middle.

Maggisano had the hand to beat, as he woke up with aces and a suit.

The flop rolled 6♦9♥6♠ which was no help to Madsen. The turn was the 10♦, opening up Madsen to a straight draw and a flush draw. His hopes were dashed, however, when the river paired the board with the 9♣.

Madsen won't be earning his 5th bracelet today but it was a tremendous run regardless.

On a flop reading 8♠J♥Q♥, Ryan Coon put all his chips in and got called by David Hu to send both players to a runout with Coon the player at risk.

The flop was a set-over-set situation with Coon the benefactor, but Hu had a redraw with straight outs and heart-flush outs. When the turn came the 2♥, Coon was looking for the board to pair on the river to keep his bracelet hopes alive, but alas, the 6♣ river produced no improvement for Coon who was sent to the exit in 11th place for $10,337.

On a board reading 10♦2♠3x10♠, Thomas Skaggs checked the small blind to Giuseppe Maggisano on the button who tossed out a bet of 200,000.

Skaggs paused before putting in a check-raise to 800,000. Maggisano, after a brief moment of thought, jammed for the rest of his stack and Skaggs quickly called to send both players to a runout with Maggisano at risk.

Both players had a ten but Skaggs held a three as well, giving a full house.

Heads up to the turn on a board reading K♠J♠2♦4♠, Thomas Skaggs checked, and chipleader Satar Al-Sadoun bet 450,000. Skaggs called.

The turn brought the 5♦ and Skaggs again tapped the table. Al-Sadoun bet 700,000 this time and Skaggs released his hand into the muck.

Al-Sadoun has had his foot on the accelerator since he was an early chipleader on Day 1.

Moscati Raises on the River to Take a Pot

Vincent Moscati raised to 160,000 from late position and got called by Noah Schwartz in the big blind leading to a 7♣Q♣10♦ flop.

Action checked through to the 6♠ turn.

Schwartz led out for 325,000 and after about two minutes in the tank, Moscati tossed in the call to see the 4♦ fall on the river.

Schwartz led out again, this time for 600,000. Moscati paused briefly before counting out a raise and sliding 1,250,000 into the middle.

Schwartz quickly folded, sending the pot to Moscati uncontested.
