Couden Leaves Vohra Steaming Into Break

Nível 29 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Big O

Heads-up on a flop of 4K4, Joey Couden bet 425,000 from the small blind and Raj Vohra called in the cutoff.

The turn came the A and Couden checked to Vohra, who bet 500,000. Couden called and the Q fell on the river.

Both players checked and Couden turned over KK732 for a full house.

"I can't win one f**king hand," Vohra cried out as he threw his cards into the middle before heading off on break.

Phil Ivey could make history Thursday at the $50,000 Poker Players Championship if he were to take down the bracelet, which would be his first title at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) since 2014.

The widely accepted poker G.O.A.T. is one of three players — Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson are the others — tied for second all-time with 10 WSOP bracelets. Phil Hellmuth, with 16 titles, is the record holder. But there could be just one player sitting in second place within the next 24 hours.

The under-the-gun player raised to 90,000 and Shaun Deeb three-bet to 300,000. Erle Mankin four-bet to 1,000,000 from the big blind before seeing the under-the-gun player fold and Deeb make the call to bring out a 638 flop.

Mankin bet his last 275,000 and Deeb quickly called to send the players to a two-card runout with Mankin at risk.

Erle Mankin: AAJ10
Shaun Deeb: AJ92

Deeb had the low locked up when the money went in and when the 5 hit the turn, he picked up scoop outs.

Just as the dealer pulled the third burn card in preparation for laying the river, Deeb said "Four." and just like that, the 4 jumped out of the deck and onto the river to complete the wheel for Deeb, shooting him up the counts into the chip lead and sending Mankin home in 11th place for $17,634.
