Welcome back to Day 3 of the 2023 World Series of Poker Event #41: $1,500 Big O, at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas — where the name on everybody’s lips is Johnny Chan.
The poker legend and Hall of Famer is still in with a shot of winning his 11th bracelet, as well as the accompanying top prize of $315,203 from the $1,946,430 prize pool, as the tournament reaches its business end.
The current chip leader is Gary Gwinn who sits on a massive stack of 4,570,000 chips. But he will face stiff competition from Chan and other notables including Victor Ramdin (3,495,000), Adam Owen (2,705,000), and Robert Williamson III (2,700,000).

The tournament will recommence on Monday at 1 p.m. local time and will be played down to a winner.
Action will start at level 26, with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and a 60,000 ante.
Levels will last 60 minutes with a 15-minute break at the end of every two levels.

Randy Sim called on the button which saw Xu Zhu raise to 240,000 in the small blind, after which William Haffner raised to 780,000 from the big blind. Sim called off for his remaining 390,000 and Zhu folded.

Action was picked up on the flop in a three-way pot between Adam Owen on the button, David Mize in the small blind and Bjorn Verbakel in the cutoff.
The flop rolled out K♦9♠5♦ and action checked to Verbakel who bet the pot of 1,470,000 which saw Adam Owen move all in for 2,310,000. Mize folded and Verbakel called.

The turn of Q♥ gave Verbakel some more outs in the form of a queen, but the river 8♦ saw the flush complete for Verbakel who took down a massive pot while Owen exited the tournament in 15th place.
