This week, they are joined by Acesholes Podcast hosts Caitlin Comeskey and Nikki Limo, who discuss their respective backgrounds in both entertainment and poker. The competitive duo, who are only separated by a few thousand in career earnings, then played a fun game of "Who Said It - Phil Hellmuth or Kanye West?"

Chad and Jesse then do a new "Calling the Clock" segment in which they offer quick two-minute dialogues for topics on “The Board.”

Mateos Takes from Vogelsang, Martirosian Out

Adrian Mateos raised to 22,000 in early position and Christoph Vogelsang called from the big blind. The flop came 10109 and Vogelsang check-called a bet from Mateos.

The turn was the Q and Vogelsang checked again. Mateos fired out another bet of 70,000 and Vogelsang still called. The 3 hit the river and Vogelsang checked for the third time. Mateos put out a bet of 275,000 which forced Vogelsang into the tank for a minute before folding.

On the next table, Artur Martirosian was also eliminated after being dwindled down to roughly 300,000 chips. Steven Veneziano was the beneficiary of his chips as he was seen collecting the pot.

Chris Hunichen raised to 18,000 in the hijack and Phil Ivey called from the cutoff. They went heads-up to a flop of 652 and Hunichen started with a check. Ivey tossed in a bet of 30,000 and Hunichen check-raised to 90,000 which Ivey called.

The 6 paired the board on the turn and Hunichen fired out a bet of 150,000. Ivey still called and the 8 completed the board. Hunichen announced a bet of 500,000 which forced Ivey to use three time banks before laying his hand down.

Chance Kornuth and Jason Koon were heads-up in a pot with around 500,000 in the middle already. The action was picked up on the turn with the board reading A53A and Kornuth led out with a bet of 190,000 which Koon called.

The river brought the 8 and Kornuth used a time bank before announcing a bet of 600,000. Koon went deeper into the tank, using four time banks and over two minutes before finally sliding his cards to the muck.

Petrangelo Hit's Back Against Chen; Kornuth Folds to River Raise From Jaffe

Nick Petrangelo called a late position raise from James Chen out of the big blind and check-called a bet of 20,000 on the turn after the flop went check-check, on a board reading 7107A.

The river 9 checked through and Petrangelo tabled A2 for two pair, aces and sevens and Chen mucked face down.

Elsewhere, in a pot between Chance Kornuth and Jonathan Jaffe, Kornuth put out a river bet of 265,000 from the small blind on a full board that read 9QJ34 and was subsequently raised by Jaffe to 800,000 after using one of his time banks, getting the fold from Kornuth.

Blind Versus Blind Battle Sees Peters Emerge Victorious Over Petrangelo

A large pot had built up in a blind versus blind hand between Nick Petrangelo in the small blind and David Peters in the big blind. The full board of 109379 was dealt and Petrangelo checked over to Peters who put out a bet of 330,000, getting a call after some deliberation from Petrangelo.

Peters tabled JJ for two pair, jacks and nines and Petrangelo's hand hit the muck, sending a sizeable pot over Peters way.

Kevin Martin snapped a video from the table he was at, which he shared on Twitter Thursday, of what just might be the craziest hand played thus far at the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

The hand involved four premium pocket pairs and took place on Day 1 of Event #37: $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em. PokerNews' live reporting team was also at the table to record the wild action.

Chance Kornuth raised it up from the cutoff and was called by Jonathan Jaffe and Mikita Badziakouski in the blinds. The flop fell KQ5 and the blinds checked to Kornuth who bet 22,000. Jaffe called and Badziakouski check-raised to 80,000. Kornuth folded but Jaffe still called.

The 3 landed on the turn and both players checked to the K on the river. Jaffe led out with a bet of 160,000 and Badziakouski used all 30 seconds before dumping his cards into the muck.
