After Sampo Ryynanen raised on the button, Michael Rodrigues called in the small blind, as did David "Bakes" Baker from the big blind.

Rodrigues drew one, Baker drew two, and Ryynanen needed three.

Following the draw, Rodrigues led out with a bet and Baker raised from his short stack. Ryynanen now made it three bets to go, which folded out Rodrigues, but Baker called with just 15,000 chips behind.

Each remaining player drew one and Baker then check-called a bet for his remaining chips. He needed to draw one, but Ryynanen was now pat.

Baker showed his 8x7x4x3x/Xx which was in trouble against Ryynanen's 8x7x5x3x2x. Baker would need to draw a deuce to win the pot and survive, but instead, he pulled a Kx, ending his day in 6th place.

Both players drew one on the final draw and Rodrigues led out for a bet. Glaser raised and Rodrigues made it three bets to go. Glaser paused for a moment before calling and Rodrigues tabled 7x6x5x3x2x. Glaser had Rodrigues notched by one with the 7x6x4x3x2x and he collected the sizable pot.

Glaser Drops Back-To-Back Pots

After losing a pot to Sampo Ryynanen where he check-called a bet at the end to lose to the Finn's nine-seven, Benny Glaser got involved with Michael Rodrigues.

Glaser defended his big blind to an early position raise from Rodrigues and each player drew two.

Glaser led out with a bet and then patted his hand after Rodrigues called. Rodrigues drew one card.

Glaser bet again and got another call, remaining pat, but Rodrigues now stood pat as well.

The players checked the end, with Rodrigues showing Glaser 8x7x5x3x2x for a winner, dropping Glaser below three million chips for the first time in a while.

Martini Run Over by Johansson's Wheel

Julien Martini raised in the hijack and got three-bet by Oscar Johansson in the cutoff. Martini called and drew one, as did Johansson.

Martini then check-called a bet from Johansson and drew one, while the Swede stood pat.

Martini check-called another bet on the next betting round and then patted his hand. Johansson also remained pat.

On the final betting round, Martini checked and then called one final bet from Johansson, who showed him a wheel, 7x5x4x3x2x, putting Martini firmly among the short stacks at the table along with David "Bakes" Baker.

Martini Gets Some Breathing Room

The same drawing action occurred on the final draw and then the action checked down. Martini tabled 8x6x5x4x2x, which got a muck from both Ryynanen and Johansson.

Baker Doubles Twice

David "Bakes" Baker has found new life after being on the brink of elimination.

In the first hand, Baker was all in pre-draw from the big blind and ended up doubling up through Benny Glaser with a jack-low after Glaser paired his nine on the final draw.

In the next hand, Michael Rodrigues raised on the button and Baker went all-in from the small blind. Julien Martini then made it three bets to go from the big blind and Rodrigues folded.

After the first two draws, Martini stood pat on the end with a 9x7x6x3x2x. Baker held the 9x5x4x2x and caught a 3x on his last draw to double up again.

Michael Rodrigues raised under the gun and Joao Vieira called from the button, sitting on about 200,000 chips.

Each player drew two and Rodrigues then led out with a bet. Vieira called and stood pat after Rodrigues drew one card.

Rodrigues now checked and faced a bet from Vieira, which he called. Rodrigues still needed a card while Vieira remained pat.

After checking his new card, Rodrigues bet out, with Vieira only holding 20,000 chips behind. After a bit of thought, Vieira called to put his tournament life at risk, and he wouldn't like what he saw.

Rodrigues fanned 7x6x5x4x2x, which was the winner, to eliminate Vieira and provide David "Bakes" Baker, who had just 30,000 chips, a near $14,000 ladder up.
