After nearly eight weeks of non stop poker action, the 2022 World Series of Poker in its new home at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas will draw to a close today. So far, 88 gold bracelets have been awarded during the first stop on the new location on the Las Vegas Strip and the last winner of the series will be crowned today. Out of a field of 470 entries, sixteen players remain in Event #89: Tournament of Champions.

The final tournament on the schedule, replaces the former invitation-only Global Casino Championship, was only available to ring event winners of the 2021/2022 WSOP Circuit and WSOP bracelet winners of the current summer in "Sin City" with more than three quarters of the eligible players entering the fray. The biggest portion of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool in the restricted freeroll will be awarded today.

Canada's Jonathan Woof will return to the two Horseshoe Feature tables with a stack of 2,190,000 and leads four further finalists with a seven-figure stack including Carlos Loving (1,800,000), Robert Cowen (1,685,000), and Benjamin Kaupp (1,250,000).

All of them have more than 50 big blinds at their disposal for the restart at 11 a.m. local time. The top ten also features two further 2022 WSOP bracelet winners in Yuliyan Kolev and Ali Eslami.

All finalists have already locked up $7,400 as a boost for their bankroll, while the winner walks away with the top prize of $250,000 and the WSOP gold bracelet.

The final day of the inaugural Tournament of Champions and the 2022 WSOP at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas will recommence at 11 a.m. local time with Level 21, which features blinds of 10,000/20,000 and a big blind ante of 20,000. Once the field has reached the final five or six contenders, the action will also be picked up by the PokerGO live stream on the Mothership with the broadcast tentatively getting underway as of 4 p.m. local time.

Stay tuned for the conclusion of the 2022 WSOP as the PokerNews live reporting team will be in the Bally's Event Center until the last gold bracelet has been awarded.

Benjamin Kaupp opened from the hijack and Alan Gibson three-bet jammed for 195,000 from the big blind. Kaupp took a moment and called.

Alan Gibson: {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Benjamin Kaupp: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Gibson was dominated and received no help from the runout of {7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for him to go out in 16th place as the first casualty of Day 3.

Antoine Vranken moved all in on a flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and was called by Robert Cowen, who had Vranken covered.

Antoine Vranken: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Robert Cowen: {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Vranken was ahead with a pair of kings while Cowen was looking for another club with a flush draw. The board finished out {5-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Cowen hit his flush to win the pot and send Vranken out in 15th place.

Ryan Hohner Eliminated in 14th Place ($7,400)

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Ryan Hohner
Ryan Hohner

Benjamin Kaupp opened to 45,000 and Jonathan Woof flat-called. Ryan Hohner then three-bet to 220,000 with 5,000 behind and Kaupp moved all-in.

That took Woof by surprise, who mentioned in table chat he had just called with a high pocket pair. Ultimately, Woof folded and Hohner glanced at the tournament info screen before he smiled and said "I gonna call".

Ryan Hohner: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Benjamin Kaupp: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop changed nothing but Kaupp gained more equity with the {8-Diamonds} turn. Instead, it was the {q-Hearts} that fell on the river and knocked out Hohner in 14th place for $7,400.

Kolev Doubles Through Loving

Nível 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Yuliyan Kolev
Yuliyan Kolev

Yuliyan Kolev opened to 55,000 in middle position and Carlos Loving three-bet to 125,000 on the button. Kolev four-bet jammed for 490,000 and Loving made the call.

Yuliyan Kolev: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Carlos Loving: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

"Hold!" Kolev yelled as the dealer fanned the flop of {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} to give Kolev a big lead with a set. The {j-Clubs} on the turn gave Loving outs to a straight but the {7-Hearts} bricked off on the river to secure the double-up for Kolev.

"Woo!" Kolev cheered right on schedule.

Dominick Sarle Eliminated in 13th Place ($9,100)

Nível 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Dominick Sarle
Dominick Sarle

Dominick Sarle open-shoved for the last 185,000 from under the gun. It folded to Erik Bauer in the small blind and he asked for a count but folded. Benjamin Kaupp in the big blind then checked his cards and called instantly.

Dominick Sarle: {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Benjamin Kaupp: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

There was no miracle on the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board and that spelled the end for Sarle in 13th place for $9,100.

"Hey, are you guys gonna knock someone out?" Gianluca Speranza joked to the other table as all but one contestant had bowed out from their table so far.

Carlos Loving Eliminated in 12th Place ($9,100)

Nível 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Carlos Loving
Carlos Loving

Carlos Loving was a big portion of his stack in a heads-up pot against Ali Eslami on a board of {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Eslami bet 275,000 on the river and Loving called before Eslami showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a flopped set to cooler the flopped two pair of Loving with {a-}{3-}.

The next hand, Loving open-jammed a stack of 180,000 and Robert Cowen called.

Carlos Loving: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Robert Cowen: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Loving was in great shape to double up after the flop of {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}, but the {5-Spades} on the turn improved Cowen's hand and Loving was eliminated in 12th place after the {j-Hearts} river. Loving had a tough Day 3 and lost a few big hands after getting it in as a big favorite.

Erik Bauer
Erik Bauer

Picking up the action on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs} turn in a battle big blind versus button, Erik Bauer check-jammed his small stack into a bet worth 75,000 by Raul Garza. What followed was the snap-call by Garza and they flipped the over.

Erik Bauer: {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Raul Garza: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {6-Diamonds} on the river brought no help to Bauer and he had to settle for 11th place for a payday of $11,400.

Ali Eslami opened to 75,000 from the cutoff and Jonathan Woof three-bet jammed a stack of 815,000 from the button. Eslami snap-called when the action folded around.

Jonathan Woof: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Ali Eslami: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

"The implosion continues," Woof groaned when he saw he was against kings.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Woof was eliminated in a disappointing 10th place after starting the day as the chip leader.

"What a f***in' implosion. F***," Woof said as he left the tournament area.

In the first hand back from the break, Gianluca Speranza moved all-in from under the gun for the last seven and a half blinds. Gregory Wish then got it in from the button to isolate and the blinds got out of the way.

Gianluca Speranza: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Gregory Wish: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The dominated ace found no help yet on the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop while picking up some equity on the {6-Diamonds} turn. However, the {6-Spades} on the river paired the board and the kicker of Wish played to eliminate Speranza in 9th place for $15,000.
