Comisso Loses a Small Pot

Nível 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

On a paired flop {2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Mike Comisso check-called from the big blind a bet worth 1,200 from his opponent.

Both checked on the {j-Spades} turn and a {7-Hearts} fell on the river. This time, Comisso tanked and check-called another bet from his opponent for 7,000, but send his cards into the muck when the latter showed {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for two pair.

Carlsen Attacks, Sarnoff Puts Up Blockade

Nível 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Magnus Carlsen
Magnus Carlsen

Magnus Carlsen and Ben Sarnoff were heads up and looking at a board of {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

With about 18,000 in the pot, Carlsen checked from the small blind to see Ben Sarnoff bet 3,200 from the cutoff. Carlsen knows how to put his opponent in "check," and he sprung to life with a "discovered attack" by check-raising to 8,200. Sarnoff made the call.

The river {4-Diamonds} hit the felt and completed the board. Carlsen led for 15,000. Sarnoff thought for about 90 seconds before eventually tossing in the call.

"Good call," said Carlsen, showing {5-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Sarnoff showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for flopped two pair and the winner.

Francisco Takes It With Ace-High

Nível 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Benjamin Francisco was on the button and called a re-raise to 3,500 before the flop from the big blind, as did a player under the gun. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and everyone checked.

The big blind bet out 5,000 on the {3-Spades} turn and only Francisco called. Both players checked the {7-Diamonds} river and Francisco took the pot with {a-Spades}{q-Spades}.

Francisco is sandwiched between two Frenchmen, Quentin Roussey and Cyril Henneveux, who each have amassed more than 120,000 so far on Day 1c.

Bruno Shoves River

Nível 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

The action was picked up on the river in a pot of roughly 25,000 on a board showing {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Anthony "Slime" Bruno, a popular gamer and Twitch streamer, checked from the small blind.

His opponent on the button bet 15,500 and Bruno took a moment before announcing all in for 52,000, just barely covering the button. The button went well into the tank but eventually let his hand go and Bruno was shipped the large pot.

Back in May Bruno was on the highly watched live stream on Hustler Live for Ludwig's Million Dollar Cash Game where he and the "Poker Brat" Phil Hellmuth got tangled in many pots and was even allegedly angled by the 16-time bracelet winner.

Nível 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Catherine Dever was heads-up on a flop of {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} when she got her last 15,700 in the middle. Her opponent thought about the decision for a few moments before calling.

Catherine Dever: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{j-Spades} and Dever doubled up her short stack.

A few hands earlier, Dever had lost most of her chips to Troy Lombardo when Lombardo flopped a set of fours.

Cutshall Flushes Out Theuma

Nível 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Wes Cutshall
Wes Cutshall

YouTube poker vlogger Wes Cutshall was seen taking in the last of Corel Theuma's chips and he recapped the hand to PokerNews.

Theuma opened to 900 with {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} from early position and Cutshall called in the big blind with {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

On the {7-}{6-Diamonds}{2-} flop, Cutshall check-called a bet of 1,400 and did the same for 5,100 on the {10-Diamonds} turn.

Cutshall check-jammed for 35,000 after Theuma bet 10,000 on the {k-Diamonds} river. Theuma, who was calling for his tournament life, put in the last of his chips and was shown the bad news that his opponent had rivered a bigger flush.

Kabrhel Back to Loquacious Ways

Nível 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel was already talking with his table as the board read {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. He bet 6,600 from the cutoff and his opponent called under the gun.

The river was the {q-Spades}. Both players checked it.

His opponent showed the {5-}{5-} which Kabrhel had defeated with the {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, which led him to go on a spiel about betting a lot with small cards, which it seemed like the table tuned out as he received little to no replies to his banter.
