Event #70: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event World Championship
Dia 1b Começado
The $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event World Championship rolls on today with Day 1b at an 11 a.m. start in what is the second of four starting day options for players.
Day 1a attracted around 900 entries and ended with 631 remaining after the five levels of play. The high benchmark for the field was set at 317,800 by Cedrric Trevino who ended Day 1a as the chip leader and Wesley Fei was right behind him at 300,000. Several well-known players were able to advance from Day 1a, including; Andrew Moreno (238,200), Kelly Minkin (204,700) and Ryan Depaulo (188,800).
With today being the fourth of July holiday here in the United States, it will be interesting to see what size and shape the Day 1b field takes; if it is a more international flavored field or if there will be plenty of Americans who use their holiday to battle in the grandest poker tournament in the world.
Each player today will start with 60,000 in tournament chips and each Day 1 will play five 120-minute levels. There will be a 20-minute break after Levels 1, 2, and 4, with a 75-minute dinner break after Level 3.

Joe Serock has just taken his seat in Bally's Gold section, toting around an American flag-themed suitcase. He immediately raised to 500 from the cutoff and got calls from both blinds.
The flop came and action checked around to Serock, who continued for 600. Jordan Holt in the small blind raised to 1,700 and the big blind got out of the way.
Serock called to see the on the turn as Holt put out another 1,700 bet. This time Serock gave up his hand.
Adam Geyer is also seated at this table to the direct right of Serock.
