Boivin Falls To Seidel

Nível 6 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

Erik Seidel on the button and Thomas Boivin in the big blind got all of the money in before the flop with Seidel having the covering stack.

Thomas Boivin: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Erik Seidel: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

It was a race but one that Seidel took a commanding lead in following the {10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop. Nothing changed on the {9-Clubs} turn or {k-Diamonds} river, sending Boivin to the rail just as the players left for their second break of the day.

Friedman Falls to Fei

Nível 5 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

Wesley Fei excitedly got up from his chair as Prahlad Friedman was obviously not as his stack was being counted out by the dealer even though Fei clearly had Friedman covered.

The board read {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} with Fei's {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} showing for the nut flush. Friedman's cards were turned over still but the dealer revealed the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} for two pair before Friedman could really leave the table.

Negreanu Flops The Joint

Nível 3 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Justin Bonomo opened to 7,000 from under the gun and was called by Dan Smith on the button as well as Daniel Negreanu out of the big blind.

Negreanu checked on a flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Bonomo continued for 8,000, eliciting a quick fold from Smith. Negreanu was not going anywhere and made the call.

The turn came {3-Spades} and Negreanu checked for a second time. Bonomo fired off a much chunkier 33,000 but it was still not enough to shed his opponent.

Action checked through the {2-Diamonds} river and Negreanu tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for flopped broadway, the stone cold nuts as he picked up a large pot just prior to the first break of the day.

Fei Ramps Up Aggression

Nível 3 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

Wesley Fei in middle position was involved in a hand with Justin Bonomo on the button.

With around 170,000 in the middle on a board reading {j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} Fei bet 150,000, sending Bonomo deep into the tank.

"Are you trying to liquidate me?" he queried as Fei remained silent. Eventually, with just ten seconds remaining on the shot clock, Bonomo released his hand to take a big hit to his stack early in the day.

Klein Out-Duels Oya

Nível 1 : Blinds 1,000/1,000, 1,000 ante
Bill Klein
Bill Klein

Bill Klein opened to 4,000 from under the gun and was called by Masashi Oya out of the small blind as well as Dongwuk Moon in the big blind.

Action checked to Klein on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and he continued for 6,000. Oya responded by raising to 16,000 which forced Moon out of the hand. Klein, however, was not convinced by the raise and flatted to see a turn.

Oya continued his aggression with a bet of 12,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn only to see Klein raise to 35,000. After some thought, Oya called.

Both players checked it down on the {7-Diamonds} river and Klein tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a winner.
