Action was fast paced on Day 1 of Event #83: $50,000 High Roller NLH with an initial starting field of 97 reduced to 32 within the space of twelve 40-minute long levels. On Day 2, with a WSOP gold bracelet getting within sight, play may slow down somewhat as the tournament field is narrowed down to five by the day's close.
Dan Colpoys (2,835,000) leads the current survivors but with late registration open until cards are in the air at 1 p.m. PDT a few more entrants may join the fray and look to spin up a ten big blind starting stack.
As one would expect with a buy in of this level, the tournament is filled with high stakes crushers including Fedor Holz (2,530,000), Brian Rast (1,635,000) and Dan Smith (860,000).

Cards are in the air for Day 2 of Event #83: $50,000 High Roller NLH. With the late registration period now closed, the tournament clock shows 107 total entries with exact prizepool and payout information to be confirmed shortly.
Dan Zack found himself all in and at risk from the small blind against Gregory Jensen in the big blind.
Dan Zack:
Gregory Jensen:
Zack was behind but had two live cards. Unfortunately for him, the flop immediately left him drawing very thin. No running miracle cards came on the turn or river, bringing Zack's day to a swift close.
Elsewhere Ben Heath was seen exiting the tournament area having re-entered at the start of the day.

Nick Petrangelo shoved his final 320,000 from under the gun and the small blind shoved his final 230,000. Martin Kabrhel also came along for his last 275,000 from the big blind.
Small Blind:
Martin Kabrhel:
Nick Petrangelo:
The flop came putting Kabrhel firmly out in front.
The turn was no help to anyone chasing and the river gave Kabrhel an early triple up to start his Day 2.

Martin Kabrhel had gotten off to a great start, tripling up early in the day. His tournament came to an abrupt end shortly thereafter, however, courtesy of Joao Vieira.
Picking up the action on the river, Vieira in the cutoff checked to Kabrhel on the button with the board reading . Kabrhel moved all in and Vieira snapped it off, turning over . Though it was not immediately clear what Kabrhel's hole cards were, another player at the table was kind enough to inform PokerNews that the Czech pro had made a flush to setup a massive cooler.
