"It Must Be Nice to Be Eli Elezra"

Nível 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

2021 Poker Hall of Fame inductee Eli Elezra was seen in a hand with the board reading {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} on the flop. Elezra bet 3,500. His opponent shoved all in after thinking for a little bit and Elezra snap-called.

His opponent rolled over the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} but Elezra had the lead with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the river the {k-Hearts} to give Elezra the rest of the busted player's chips.

"It must be nice to be Eli Elezra" said a tablemate as Elezra stacked up a nice stack of chips as the field will have to work harder to get his big $2,021 bounty prize.

Small Sweat for Chu and His Cowboys

Nível 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After action limped around, the player in the small blind moved all in for around 25,000 but then Justin Chu three-bet jammed for more for 45,000 in total. The other players quickly folded and the hands were tabled, with the small blind at risk.

Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Justin Chu: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Chu was in the lead when the cards were exposed and the flop of {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Clubs} gave him a small sweat as it gave his opponent a pair of queens, so that he could now hit any queen or ace to take the lead.

The turn {6-Diamonds} was a blank and the river {k-Clubs} sealed the deal as Chu hit top set and eliminated his opponent.

Negreanu Denies Denny and Hensen the Bounty

Nível 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Ross Denny raised from middle position, Daniel Negreanu jammed all in for a smidge over 26,000 from the cutoff. Ray Henson had Negreanu slightly covered with 27,200 on the button and rejammed. Denny tanked for a bit before calling to give himself the chance to knock out both and capture the bounty.

Daniel Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Ray Henson: {q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Ross Denny: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

Negreanu started to record the all in and it looked like another bad beat story was coming as the flop came {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} to pair Henson's three. But the turn was the {a-Spades} to turn the tables and the river came the {10-Clubs} to give Negreanu the triple-up, bust Henson, and deny any bounty collection.

Matusow Ousted

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Mike Matusow, who was still smarting from his Main Event exit as he had been discussing his debated bust out hand with tablemates, was spotted all in with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} vs the {8-}{8-} of Sho Homma.

The board ran out {k-}{5-}{4-}{8-}{4-} and Matusow busted.

"I think I am going to go home and rest. I just felt bad after how the main ended." said Matusow as he collected his things until a tablemate reminded him that there was still some time left to reenter, which Matusow considered.

"I probably will (reenter), I'm a sicko" he added.

Great Call, Unlucky River

Nível 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a heads-up flop of {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Nader Arfai led out for 18,000, but then his opponent Yehuda Buchalter ripped it all in for 45,000, which sent Arfai into the tank.

"You're not worried I have pocket fives?" Arfai inquired.

Buchalter peeked at his cards and replied, "Nope".

After a few more moments, Arfai pushed his chips into the middle to call, putting Buchalter at risk as they tabled their hands.

Yehuda Buchalter: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Nader Arfai: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

It seemed Arfai had made the correct call, and the turn {j-Spades} improved him to top set, but the river was cruel and delivered the {8-Hearts} to give Buchalter the flush he was chasing.

Arfai was left with only 600 chips as Buchalter climbed to 105,000.
