Leonard Outfoxes Fox

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

A player opened from middle position and was called by Patrick Leonard in the small blind as well as Elio Fox out of the big blind.

Action checked through the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop to the {j-Diamonds} turn. Leonard then led out for 2,000 and was called by both of his opponents to keep action three-handed heading to the river.

On the {j-Spades} river Leonard again bet, this time sizing up to 5,000. Fox responded by raising to 26,000 and the middle position player, with obvious reluctance, forcefully tossed his cards away. Leonard thought for some time but did end up making the call. Fox turned over {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the counterfeited two pair while Leonard revealed he held {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the superior two pair to take down the large pot and send his stack soaring above 100,000.

Ball Dodges Outs to Double

Nível 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Scott Ball was facing a 20,000 bet on a board of {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} when he shoved for his last 67,900. His opponent quickly called.

Scott Ball: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

Ball's hand held up as the river came the {2-Diamonds}, securing his double up.

"I trust my luck right there," his defeated opponent said following the hand. "An eight could come. A seven could come."

Watson Outraces Negreanu

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Daniel Negreanu opened to 4,500 from early position and action folded around to Mike Watson in the small blind who moved all in. Negreanu got out his recording stick, which he says is sturdier than the one that took a beating during the $250,000 Super High Roller last week, and began to film as he made the call, saying "We're going bounty hunting".

Mike Watson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Daniel Negreanu: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The two respected poker pros were locked in an even race but Watson took a massive lead on the {q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. The {8-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river changed nothing, sending the pot Watson's way and continuing Negreanu's 2022 WSOP woes.

Negreanu Narrates His Exit

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jake Schwartz raised all in for around 17,000 from under the gun as action folded to Daniel Negreanu in the small blind. He shoved for around 50,000 as Marius Gierse in the big blind called to put both players at risk.

As the cards were being tabled, Negreanu took his camera and began vlogging, flipping over {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Schwartz had {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}, while Gierse had woken up with {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

"We could hit diamonds, or a straight," Negreanu narrated as the flop came {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}. But the {2-Diamonds} on the turn left him drawing dead as Gierse collected both bounties when the river came {8-Spades}.

Akkari Out-Flops Jaka

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Faraz Jaka was all in for his last 40,000 from early position and up against Andre Akkari in the small blind.

Faraz Jaka: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Andre Akkari: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

"I folded one of his jacks," a tablemate told Jaka before the flop was turned over. The {a-Diamonds} propelled Akkari into the lead, followed by the {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Down to a two-outer, Jaka didn't hit any miracles on the {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and hit the rail.

2022 WSOP Featured Females: Meet Wendeen Eolis, 1st Woman to Ever Cash Main Event

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Wendeen Eolis
Wendeen Eolis

In the mid 1980’s, women were considered no factor in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and other than the famous rounder and professional gambler Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston, poker players rarely made headlines in the mainstream press. That all changed when Wendeen Eolis became the first woman to cash at poker’s “Big Dance.”

In the 1986 WSOP Main Event, Eolis battled some of the best players in the world, including Amarillo Slim, in a field of 141 runners. She was on her way to a 25th-place finish for a $10,000, return on her buy-in, and permanent bragging rights as the first woman in history to cash in the WSOP Main Event.

Eolis attributes her 1986 WSOP performance to a year of poker tutoring from one of the best, a “relatively” conservative game plan, and cooperative cards. She told PokerNews, “Even today, women can win more by bluffing less than men.”

Agarwal Ascending

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Aditya Agarwal
Aditya Agarwal

Aditya Agarwal opened to 5,500 from under the gun and was called by Bryn Kenney in the cutoff. A player on the button then moved all in for 45,900 and Agarwal called with the bigger stack while Kenney folded to put the button player at risk.

Button Player: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Aditya Agarwal: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Agarwal was in a good spot to score the knockout and bounty. The {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades} runout did pair up the at risk player's kicker but also gave Agarwal broadway and the pot to send his stack north of the 250,000 mark.

Moyer Has Mammoth Stack After Busting Schillhabel

Nível 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Moyer and the player in the big blind called a 6,000 raise from Stefan Schillhabel as they saw a flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

Action checked to Schillhabel and he continued for around 15,000, with only Moyer calling. The turn came the {7-Diamonds} and Schillhabel shoved for his last 45,000, with Moyer snap-calling.

Stefan Schillhabel: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Jason Moyer: {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

Moyer had out-flopped Schillhabel by making trip fours and stayed ahead as the river came the {8-Diamonds} and Moyer collected another bounty.

Moyer, from Winnemucca, Nevada, is currently sitting around 400,000 and has collected eight knockout bounties already.
