Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Philip Sternheimer: {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts} / {5-Diamonds}

Yuri Dzivielevski raised to 100,000 from first position and was three-bet by Taylor Paur in the small blind to 325,000.

Dzivielevski called and a large pot was potentially brewing.

Paur stood pat, and Dzivielevski drew one card.

Paur then checked to the Brazilian, who pulled a stack of blue T-100,000 chips off his massive towers of green T-25,000 chips and placed forward a bet of 750,000.

Paur gave the bet some consideration, but then folded to send the pot to Dzivielevski.

Philip Sternheimer

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Philip Sternheimer went all in for 140,000 from under the gun and Naoya Kihara called him from the big blind. Kihara drew two while Sternheimer picked one. Both players revealed their hands for the live sweat.

Philip Sternheimer: {10-}{8-}{7-}{2-}
Naoya Kihara: {8-}{4-}{3-}

Kihara went first and picked up a {3-} to pair up, then opened up another {3-} to make an even worse hand.

"You win," he chuckled as Sternheimer revealed a meaningless {9-}.

"No sweat," Sternheimer laughed.

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Matthew Ashton raised to 90,000 from under the gun and Naoya Kihara three-bet to 320,000 on the button. Benny Glaser went in the tank in the big blind before four-bet shoving all in for 1,125,000. Ashton folded and Kihara called after some thought.

Both players stood pat and Glaser opened up {9-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}.

"Nine-seven?" Kihara asked as he opened up {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}. Glaser had his opponent pipped with the better nine and doubled up.

Matthew Gonzales Eliminated in 13th Place ($100,866)

Nível 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Matthew Gonzales
Matthew Gonzales

Pot-Limit Omaha

Lou Garza raised to 90,000 in the cutoff and was called by Naoya Kihara on the button and Matthew Gonzales in the big blind.

On the {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop, action was checked to Kihara, who bet pot (330,000). Gonzales then went deep into the tank for over five minutes to weigh his decision with 800,000 chips left.

Ultimately, he decided to move all-in.

Garza quickly folded and Kihara called.

Matthew Gonzales: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}
Naoya Kihara: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Kihara had bottom pair, a flush draw and an open-ended straight draw, while Gonzales held top two pair.

The turn brought Kihara help in the least likely of ways with the {5-Diamonds}, giving him trip fives.

The river came with the 6d, ending Gonzales' day and sending the players to the final two tables in the horseshoe.

Cates Wins Two PLO Pots in a Row

Nível 19 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Benny Glaser limped the small blind and then called a raise by Dan Cates in the big blind. On the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, Glaser check-called a bet for 125,000 and check-folded the {4-Hearts} turn when Cates bet 380,000.

One hand later, Matthew Ashton raised to 110,000 in the cutoff for Cates in the small blind and Taylor Paur in the big blind to call. The {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop was checked to Ashton, who made it 200,000 to go. He received two calls and the {j-Spades} turn was checked.

After the {8-Diamonds} river, Cates bet what appeared to be 360,000 and earned the next pot when his two opponents folded.

"I don't have much," Cates said as he grabbed his cards and exposed three spades for a potential straight.
