On a flop both Ali Eslami and Dave Rogers checked to Phil Ivey on the button who bet 3,500. Both opponents called.
The three players checked the turn and the river was the . Eslami checked and Rogers bet 12,000. Ivey folded and after some consideration, Eslami called.
One new entry made it a full ring table and all players introduced each other by their first name, which now included John David Rogers. The investment banker prefers Dave and was almost immediately involved in the action in the second orbit of the day.
But first up, David Benyamine raised to 3,500 on the button and Eli Elezra defended the big blind to then check-fold the flop.
Shortly after, Ali Eslami raised to 3,500 in the hijack and Rogers came along out of the big blind. Rogers checked the flop and a bet worth 1,500 by Eslami won the pot.
In the next hand, Rogers raised to 4,000 in the small blind and Phil Ivey called in the big blind. Rogers led for 4,000 on the flop and Ivey tossed in a single T-5,000 chip for the call. The turn was checked by Rogers, who then folded when Ivey made it 10,000 to go.
"Yeah, that's my favourite player in the whole world," one of the guys on the rail said and clapped. Chris Fraser jokingly reacted to that and said "he was talking about me".
The only other notable hand in Triple Draw featured Chris Fraser and Ali Eslami with the latter defending the big blind against a raise by Chris Fraser. On the first draw, both discarded two and checked to then discard two again. Eslami bet and Fraser called for Eslami to call.
On the final draw, Eslami took one while Fraser patted. Eslami check-called a bet and mucked when Fraser tabled the . Fraser then lost two small pots against Eslami and David Benyamine when neither hand made it to the final draw.
So far, the screens show a total of eleven entrants and one table is running so far with 2-7 Triple Draw as the first game selected via high-carding. A first batch of entries will be published shortly.
