Sako Flops a Set

Nível 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Yuki Sako raised to 11,000 from under the gun and was called by three opponents.

Action checked to the player on the button who bet 22,000 on the {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, which only Sako called.

The button continued for 40,000 on the {q-Diamonds} when checked to by Sako. Sako then moved all in for 114,500 putting his opponent to the test. The button eventually folded and Sako showed the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a flopped set as he scooped in the pot.

It's Been a Long Road for "Amtrak Mike"

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Michael Muniz
Michael Muniz

Pocket tens may not be Michael "Amtrak Mike" Muniz's best friend.

"Amtrak Mike" Muniz was taking his shot at a coveted gold bracelet after another 62 hour-long Amtrak journey to the WSOP from Queens, New York.

Muniz had an opponent all-in and at risk showing his {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} against Mark Bryan's {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

The {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board was showing and the {8-Hearts} river meant Muniz was not able to find his outs and was left with 9,000, helping Bryan's stack grow to 42,000.

Muniz shoved all in from the big blind in the very next hand.

Michael Muniz: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} and offered no help and Muniz was out.

Muniz took it in stride as he shared that not only did he just now lose with and get eliminated against pocket tens, but he also got knocked out holding pocket tens just yesterday in the 1b flight.

Renn's Queens Hold to More than Double Up

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action was joined with three all-in players with no community cards yet dealt. Jason Renn, in the cutoff was the middle stack, with the hijack being the short stack and a player from middle position having both players covered. The players tabled their hands.

Hijack: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Jason Renn: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Middle Position: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Renn was well ahead, but an unfavorable board could have sent him to the rail. The {j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board proved quite favorable to Renn, whose pocket queens sent the hijack to the rail while doubling up via the player in middle position.

Wysotchanski Flops the Nuts

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Wagner Wysotchanski raised to 13,000 from the small blind following two limps ahead of him. The player to his left put in the three bet to 25,000. Wysotchanski called.

His opponent continued for 30,000 on the {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} to which Wysotchanski moved all in for 63,000 more. The big blind went into the tank before he decided to call.

Wysotchanski: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
big blind: {8-}{6-}

The big blind was drawing near dead and didn't improve as the {2-Hearts} came on the turn and the {q-Clubs} came on the river. Wysotchanski collected the chips.

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action started with Karen Sarkisyan opening to 7,000. The next player to act called, and then play folded to the small blind. He took this as his opportunity to rip it in, pushing for 113,500. Sarkisyan smooth called, however the middle position player was having none of it and got out of the way.

Small blind: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Sarkisyan: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, offering no help to the small blind. Sarkisyan pulled in a nice pot, taking him over the 300,000 mark.

Dickenman Doesn't Mess Around

Nível 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

First to act, Dickenman opened the action with an all in to 90,000. He didn't make it through a single player though, and was immediately called for 73,500 by the next player to act.

Action folded around and both players showed their hands.

Caller: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Dickenman: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board gave a little hope with the {q-Clubs} in the window, but followed up {2-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

The {j-Clubs} turn brought some chop opportunities, but the {2-Hearts} river sealed the pot for Dickenman.
