2022 WSOP Gold Bracelet

Welcome to the 2022 World Series of Poker live from Bally's and Paris Las Vegas. Starting at 2 p.m. local time is Day 2 of one of the most prolific events on the summer calendar, Event #46: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed.

An impressive 850 players took to the tables yesterday to play 10 levels, with just 277 returning for a chance of winning that beautiful gold bracelet. There is still the option to late register until the start of play, so the number of entries and players remaining will increase. The prize pool and payouts will be determined shortly after play begins and registration closes.

Another ten 60-minute levels are on tap for today, with 15 minute breaks after every two and a one-hour dinner break at about 8:30 p.m. They'll resume play with Level 11 and blinds of 1,000/2,500 and a 2,500 big blind ante. At the end of Level 20, remaining players will bag and tag their chips for Day 3.

Martinez Gone Early

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Diego Martinez found himself all in and at risk preflop out of the small blind against Ryan Johnson from under the gun.

Diego Martinez: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Ryan Johnson: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Martinez was dominated and would need significant help to prolong his stay in the tournament. No help came, however, on the {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{k-Clubs} runout, ending what has turned out to be a very short day's play for Martinez. Jonhson, meanwhile, has gotten off to a dream start after skipping out on Day 1, with one player at the table remarking, "Nice start to the max late reg".

Eichenbaum Sailing On His Boat

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

After Bradley Anderson had bet 6,000 into Zachary Eichenbaum on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Spades} from the small blind against big blind, Eichenbaum made the call, creating a 20,000 chip pot.

The {10-Diamonds} slowed action down, both players checked.

The {8-Clubs} river fell and Anderson lead for 22,000. Eichenbaum responded with a raise to 51,500.

Anderson let his hand go claiming he had Ace-Queen, and Eichenbaum showed the {8-} for the full house.

''That's two in a row I've showed now, you have to show the next one'', said Eichebaum, who's looking for his fifth cash in this years WSOP.

''I'll show, we can show, it's good for the game'', responded Anderson.

Miner Doubles Through Periaux

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Ben Miner was all in and at risk with his short stack out of the big blind against Ludovic Periaux from under the gun.

Ben Miner: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Ludovic Periaux: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Miner was ahead, though with such weak kickers there were plenty of opportunities for the two to chop the pot. That outcome became far less likely following the {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop and the {5-Clubs} turn left Periaux hoping for one of the two remaining aces in the deck to hit on the river for a chop. It was not to be as the {4-Hearts} river ensured Miner got a full double up to start the day.
