Early Scoop For Thomas

Nível 16

Badeucey

Kevin Thomas drew two and Roland Israelashvili drew one, with Thomas check-calling a bet.

On the second draw, both players drew one.

"You caught up," said Israelashvili before checking.

Both players drew one and Thomas check-called a bet.

Israelashvili tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for a nine-seven badugi, but Thomas had that beat with {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} nine-six badugi along with the low to scoop.

"Just to show you," said Cantu and he opened {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the nut low.

Day 2 of Event #4: $1,500 Dealer's Choice 6-Handed starts today at 2:00 p.m. PDT. Of the 430 players that entered into the tournament, 123 remain as we head into Day 2.

The prize pool generated by those 430 entrants totaled $574,040, and first place will claim $126,288.

The chip leader through the first day of play is Dennis Eichhorn, sitting with 276,000 chips.

The field is brimming with excited mixed game players, all looking to surpass Eichhorn. Among the contenders is last year's champion, Jaswinder Lally (150,000), who will try to defend his title and become back-to-back champion.

Scott Bohlman (179,000), Brian Rast (169,500), and Adam Friedman (142,000) all look to make runs with healthy stacks as well.

Players have not yet reached the money. The top 65 players will cash, and a min-cash will earn $2,417. Levels will be 60-minutes long and players will try to survive ten levels today to make the third and final day tomorrow.

PokerNews will be on hand to cover all the mixed game action until we have a winner.
