Matusow Wins Four-Bet Pot

Nível 8

Mike Matusow opened under the gun and faced a three-bet from the player to his left. Action folded back around to Matusow, who opted to four-bet. His opponent just called to send the two players to the initial draw.

Both Matusow and his opponent took one card on the first draw. Matusow then check-called a bet from the middle position player.

On the second draw Matusow stood pat while the other player led out. This time Matusow decided to raise and his opponent called.

The final draw saw Matusow stand pat again, following which he bet into his opponent, who had drawn one. That bet was enough to elicit a fold and send a sizable pot the Mouth's way.

Ramos Moving Up

Nível 8
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

GG Poker Ambassador Felipe Ramos opened on the button and was called by Matt Vengrin out of the big blind.

Both players took two cards on the initial draw and action checked through to the second draw, where Vengrin stood pat and Ramos took another two. Vengrin led out and Ramos made the call.

"I think I'm going to have the best hand, you might have to draw two", Vengrin said as he stood pat. Ramos did not heed his opponent's advice, instead drawing just one card. Vengrin, as it turned out, had been mistaken as Ramos revealed he held {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} having drawn the six on the end to scoop the pot and move up the leaderboard.

Trivett Bests Seiver

Nível 7

Scott Seiver opened under the gun. Action folded to Michael Trivett in the cutoff, who three-bet. Seiver made the call to send the two players heads-up to the initial draw.

On the first draw, Seiver took two cards to Trivett's one. Seiver then checked to the three-bettor, who continued his aggression with a bet. Seiver flatted.

The same drawing pattern was repeated on the second draw and again Seiver check-called a bet from Trivett.

The final draw saw both players stand pat and then check it down. Trivett turned over nine-seven, a hand that Seiver could not beat.

Zhu Out, Brown the Beneficiary

Nível 7
Andrew Brown
Andrew Brown

Yueqi Zhu was all in from under the gun and involved in a four-way pot with Andrew Brown in middle position, Joey Couden in the cutoff and Vladislav Denisov from the big blind.

On the first draw Denisov, Brown and Couden all took one card while Zhu drew two. Denisov then led out and was raised by Brown. Couden flatted as did Denisov.

The second draw saw Denisov and Brown stand pat, Zhu take another two and Couden draw one. Denisov opted to check to Brown, who bet out and was called by both Couden and Denisov.

Denisov and Brown again stood pat on the final draw. Meanwhile, Zhu and Couden drew one each. Denisov checked and Brown bet, which was enough to force Couden out of the hand, sending the action back to Denisov. He counted out calling chips and, after holding them above the pot for a moment, tossed them into the middle. Brown announced he had a wheel and was met by mucks from Denisov and Zhu, the latter of whom made a hasty exit from the tournament area.
