After 17 grueling levels on Day 1 of Event #30: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed, 108 players return to Bally's Event Center at the World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas to compete for the top prize of $255,359 and the coveted WSOP Gold Bracelet. Day 2 will conclude when only five players remain and they will return to the final table on Thursday, June 16th at a time yet to be determined.
Stephen Song starts the day as chip leader after amassing an incredible 1,404,000 chips. Three other players will start the day with a seven-figure stack. Pedro Arroyos (1,365,000), William Kopp (1,163,000) and Chino Rheem (1,100,000).
One of the big stories of Day 2 is the glut of former WSOP Bracelet winners in the field hoping to win more gold for their wrists. Twelve former winners including Barny Boatman, Eoghan O'Dea, Ryan Laplante, and David Williams will be looking for glory once again.
Cards will be in the air at noon local time at level 18 with blinds at 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 ante. PokerNews will bring you all the action as it happens.

Cards are in the air and chips are flying as Day 2 of Event #30: Pot-Limit Omaha has officially begun.
Kristof Segers bet 23,000 from the hijack and was called by Jason Smith in the small blind and Aurelien Martin in the big blind.
The flop of caused Independence Day to come early. Smith bet 65,000 and was quickly met with an all-in from Martin for 177,000 and Segers for 255,000. Smith took his time to work out all of the consequences of side pots and elected to call.

Segers was ahead with a set of kings, Martin had a gutshot straight draw along with a flush draw, while Smith was well behind with a set of fours and not a lot of backup.
The turn gave Martin another flush draw and a gutshot straight draw for Smith. But the gave the Frenchman Martin the diamond flush and a huge increase of his stack.

On a three-way flop of , Chino Rheem and Pete Arroyos checked in turn, then Alexandre Pessoa bet the pot of 140,000. Rheem thought for a second then repopped it to 350,000, getting a fold from Arroyos before Pessoa put the rest of his chips in, at risk.

This summer, Golden Nugget Las Vegas will play host to the 14th Annual Grand Poker Series, which features 81 events and offers over $3 million in guaranteed prize money from May 31-July 3. One of those events is the $1,100 buy-in, $1,000,000 Guaranteed PokerNews Cup that will run from June 24-28.
The tournament will feature three starting flights beginning with Day 1a at 11 a.m. PT on Friday, June 24. Days 1b and 1c will take place at the same time on Saturday, June 25, and Sunday, June 26 respectively. The surviving players from each flight will return at Noon on Monday, June 27 to play down to the final table, which will play out at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28.
