Daniel Weinman

Welcome to the 2022 WSOP at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas and Event #30: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed Day 3! The action is set to begin today at noon local time with only ten players remaining from an original field of 1,891.

Day 2 saw 108 hopefuls return for their bid to make the final table. The original plan was to play down to the final six players, however, the decision was made to stop at the end of Level 27 instead. Today they will play until a champion is crowned.

Leading the charge is none other than Daniel Weinman] with 6,420,000 chips, or 64 big blinds if you prefer. Weinman is a WSOP Circuit ring winner and has come close to securing a coveted WSOP bracelet several times, but one still eludes him. Weinman is now in good position to possibly be the player to hold up the bracelet this evening and collecting the first-place prize money of $255,359.

Also through to the final day's proceedings are such luminaries as Chino Rheem (4,855,000), Stephen Song (2,665,000), and German grinder Oliver Weis (1,610,000), who online poker fans will know better as "sk2ll_m0dR".

Chino Rheem in the small blind and Lautaro Guerra in the big blind got their chips in the middle preflop with Guerra at risk for 1,000,000 chips.

Lautaro Guerra: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Chino Rheem: {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Guerra took the lead on the flop of {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair, but Rheem hit the gutshot straight when the {3-Hearts} landed on the turn. The {q-Hearts} river improved the Spaniard's two pair but was not enough to beat Rheem. Guerra bubbles the final table.

Ruslan Dykshteyn Eliminated in Eighth Place ($29,739)

Nível 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ruslan Dykshteyn
Ruslan Dykshteyn

Germandio Andoni bet 300,000 from under the gun then Ruslan Dykshteyn, in early position, potted to 1,000,000. Action folded to Andoni and very quickly both players had their chips in the middle with Dykshteyn at risk for 3,300,000.

Ruslan Dykshteyn: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Germandio Andoni: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Andoni was in trouble as his kings were behind Dykshteyn's aces, however the case king in the window on the board of {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} gave Andoni an unlikely boat sending Dykshteyn to the rail in eighth place.

Stephen Song and Daniel Weinman got their chips in the middle on a flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} with Song at risk for 2,100,000 chips.

Stephen Song: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Daniel Weinman: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Song had an open-ended straight draw, while Weinman had a wrap. The {2-Clubs} on the turn gave Weinman bottom pair and a {5-Diamonds} was a massive brick. Somehow Weinman won with a pair of deuces sending Song to the payout cage.

Jamey Hendrickson bet 500,000 from the button. Chino Rheem in the small blind raised to 1,700,000, Hendrickson bet pot which was enough to put Rheem all in for his remaining 3,100,000 chips.

Chino Rheem: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Jamey Hendrickson: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The flop of {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} did not help Rheem and the {j-Diamonds} turn left him drawing dead as Hendrickson made a flush. The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Rheem's search for an inaugural WSOP gold bracelet continues as he exits in fifth place

Germandio Andoni
Germandio Andoni

Daniel Weinman raised to 750,000 preflop, then Germandio Andoni raised the pot to 2,050,000, which Weinman called.

On the flop of {10-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, Andoni moved all in, and Weinman called, putting Andoni at risk.

Germandio Andoni: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Daniel Weinman: {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}

Andoni was a massive favorite on the flop with top pair, nut flush draw and a gutter straight draw, but the {4-Spades} turn gave Weinman the lead with two pair.

The river {2-Diamonds} was a complete blank and sealed Andoni's fate as he was eliminated in fourth place for a payout of $87,167.

Nível 32 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Eduardo Bernal Sanchez
Eduardo Bernal Sanchez

Jamey Hendrickson limped from the button and was met by a pot bet from Eduardo Bernal Sanchez in the small blind for 1,000,000. Daniel Weinman called from the big blind and Hendrickson made it a family pot.

The flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} prompted Sanchez to move all-in for 2,700,000. Weinman raised over the top to isolate which forced Hendrickson to fold.

Eduardo Bernal Sanchez: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Daniel Weinman: {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}

Weinman flopped the nut straight whilst Sanchez picked up a flush draw to go along with his pocket kings. However, there was no help for the Colombian as the board ran out {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Sanchez heads for the exit but receives his first-ever six-figure score.

Jamey Hendrickson
Jamey Hendrickson

In the third hand of heads-up play, Jamey Hendrickson limped in the small blind and Daniel Weinman checked.

The flop came an innocuous-looking {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} which started a raising war where all the chips came into the middle with Hendrickson the player at risk for 13,000,000.

Jamey Hendrickson: {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Daniel Weinman: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Weinman flopped two pair, while Hendrickson had a wrap. The runout of {3-Spades}{6-Spades} was no help to Hendrickson who finished in 2nd place for the biggest cash of his career. Daniel Weinman won his first WSOP gold bracelet.
