When he found a pocket pair, {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, in late position, he thought it was a good time to double his short stack of 500,000.

But Burton Rubin woke up with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} in the blinds and Sonny Franco was eliminated after five cards on the table did not change anything.

Andrews Takes The Lead

Zachary Andrews started the day with a big stack of 1,800,000 chips, but it looks like it was not enough for him. He was playing with Ahmed Nimer, the chip leader from Day 1.

Preflop from the cutoff, Andrews opened and Nimer called from the big blind. Andrews then fired on a {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop for 60,000, which was called. He then sent another bet of 185,000 on a {4-Hearts} turn. Nimer called again before he took the lead on a {6-Clubs} river, betting 325,000.

Andrews announced all-in for 1,425,000 and Nimer called, creating a monster pot.

Both players made a full house, but Andrews' was stronger.

Not that much later, Sean Brown open-shoved his short stack of 300,000 in late position, and Zachary Andrews called with {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Brown was in front with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, but not after the board came {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, giving Andrews a straight on the river.
