Assorted Counts in the Field

Nível 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ap Garza limped in and Ronald Keijzer did so from the small blind, Christopher Trang checked his option in the big blind. On the {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Trang check-called for 20,000 while Keijzer folded to the bet of Garza. Trang then checked down the {2-Hearts} turn and {4-Clubs} river for Trang to reveal the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Garza had that beat with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and the minor kicker advantage secured an urgently needed pot.

In the meanwhile, Aaron Katz was eliminated by Fabian Schoneck on a different table as the field was reduced further after the dinner break.

Baptista on the Rise

Nível 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

One hand after knocking out Stefan Williams, Duarte Baptista was involved in the action once more in a three-way pot. He was facing Daniel Negreanu and Daniel Chuprun and they headed to the {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} turn on which Negreanu bet 75,000.

Baptista then raised the pot to 333,000 and forced two quick folds.

Dzivielevski Takes a Pot

Nível 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Aaron Katz raised to 30,000 on the button, Michael Duek called in the small blind, and Yuri Dzivielevski called in the big blind.

The trio checked the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop to the {4-Diamonds} turn. Duek bet 60,000, Dzivielevski called, and Katz folded. Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} river.

Dzivielevski tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} to claim the pot as his opponent mucked.

Winter Eliminated by Smith

Nível 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

In a preflop all-in contest, Sean Winter was all-in for the last 110,000 or so and he was looked up by Dylan Smith to create the following showdown.

Sean Winter: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Dylan Smith: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Winter predicted an six, seven, eight flop but only guessed one of those correctly when it came {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. The {6-Hearts} turn ended any possible sweat and the {4-Diamonds} river was a brick.

"Good luck on the final table," Winter said and received no reaction ... he then followed that up with a smirk on the face "guess none of you guys will be there" until David Williams reacted.

Lamb Wins Small Pot Off Cochrane

Nível 17 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Gavin Cochrane raised to 36,000 and Ben Lamb made the call on the button. On the {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Cochrane continued for 40,000 and Lamb came along to the {3-Hearts} turn. The Brit now slowed down and checked, which allowed Lamb to stab with a bet worth 80,000.

That was enough to win the pot right there, as Cochrane sent his cards into the muck.

Cruel Exit for Wantman Against Li

Nível 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Matthew Wantman
Matthew Wantman

Heads-up to the {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, a bet worth 185,000 was in front of Tong Li and he then faced the check-shove by Matthew Wantman for what appeared to be around 350,000. Li didn't ask for an exact count bit the clock was ticking on the shot clock format.

With six 30-second extensions at his disposal, Li used them all before splashing in calling chips moments before his hand was declared dead.

Matthew Wantman: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Tong Li: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The {q-Clubs} turn suddenly gave Li by far more outs and he indeed got there on the {j-Clubs} river to knock out Wantman in cruel fashion. While the hand lasted several minutes into the dinner break, Li certainly didn't mind the outcome while Wantman quickly stormed out of the tournament area.

Cochrane Leaves Hendrix Short; Lamb Finishes the Job

Nível 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

With around 300,000 in the middle on a {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Adam Hendrix shoved the small blind and Gavin Cochrane called on the button for his remaining 229,000 chips.

Gavin Cochrane: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Adam Hendrix: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{x-}

The {4-Clubs} and {q-Spades} completed the board and Cochrane claimed the sizable pot, leaving Hendrix with about 60,000.

On the next hand, Adam Hendrix raised to 35,000 on the button, Ben Lamb raised in the big blind, and Hendrix called for his remaining stack.

Adam Hendrix: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Ben Lamb: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} to eliminate Hendrix, while Lamb added to his stack.

Triple Up for Katz; Napierala No More

Nível 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Aaron Katz
Aaron Katz

In a preflop contest, Jared Bleznick pushed forward a stack of T-25,000 chips and that was followed by the all-in alls of Blake Napierala and Aaron Katz with the latter being the shortest stack.

Aaron Katz: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Blake Napierala: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Jared Bleznick: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

"I am the favourite," Bleznick exclaimed when all cards were turned over. That wasn't the case anymore after the {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, which gave Napierala the flush draw. Even more outs for Napierala came thanks to the {10-Diamonds} turn but he bricked them all on the blank {2-Hearts} river.

Katz tripled up up while Napierala doubled in the side pot for 22,000 against Bleznick only to then bow out in the very next hand.
