Pizzolato's Third Barrel Takes Pot Without Showdown

Nível 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Shankar Pillai opened the action for 35,000 from the button. The small blind got out of the way before Giuseppe Pizzolato put in the call from the big blind.

After the {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Pillai fired again, but smaller, for 25,000. Pizzolato put in the check-raise of 80,000, and Pillai called.

On the {3-Clubs} turn, Pizzolato led out, firing a barrel of 90,000. After some moments of thought, Pillai made the call.

The {10-Spades} river elicited an even larger bullet from Pizzolato, who fired 150,000 into the middle. Pillai took a couple minutes to consider his decision, before exasperatedly tossing his cards in the muck, giving Pizzolato the pot.

Saout Flops Trips to Takedown the Pot

Nível 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Antoine Saout, in the big blind and Thomas Schultz, under the gun were heads-up on the river with around 150,000 in the pot. The board was {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Saout bet 115,000 and it sent his opponent deep in to the tank. After a few minutes Schultz decided to call and Saout flipped over {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} revealing the trip jacks he hit on the flop to win the pot. Schultz tossed his cards in to the muck without showing.

Webb Wins With Pair of Aces

In the cutoff, Courtney Webb went heads-up against Mukul Pahuja in the big blind. There was around 60,000 in the pot and the flop was {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Pahuja check-raised Webb's bet of 50,000 up to 150,00 and she called.

The turn came a {j-Hearts} and both players checked.

A {6-Clubs} showed up on the river and Pahuja and Webb both checked again. Webb showed {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} giving her top pair which was good and Pahuja folded his hand into the muck.

This win brought Webb's stack to over one million.

Gallardo's Pair of Kings Good Enough

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Samy Dubonnet, in the hijack, led out for 24,000. Maximiliano Gallardo, in the cutoff, found the call, while the rest of the table folded.

With action heads-up, the {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop was checked through. Dubonnet fired on the {4-Diamonds} turn, for 93,000. Gallardo made the call.

Both players again checked the {10-Spades} river. Dubonnet turned over {8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}, hoping his ace high would be good after not completing his flush draw. However, Gallardo turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, giving him a pair of kings, which was good enough to scoop the pot.

Lodge Hits on River to Double Up Through Berkey

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Matt Berkey moved all in from the small blind with 156,000 behind. He received his lone call from Harry Lodge in the big blind. While Berkey thought he had the effective stack, it was in fact Lodge's 126,000 representing the short stack. The players tabled their hands.

Harry Lodge: {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Matt Berkey: {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, giving Berkey a pair on the turn, but Lodge a bigger pair on the river. Berkey began getting up to leave before realizing he in fact had Lodge covered.

"He's still got half a blind left!" needled James Calderaro, who had folded preflop, sending himself and others at the table into uproarious laughter.
