Straight Flush for Dunnett as Moshe Folds Aces

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Warwick Dunnett, author of Poker Wizards, opened to 1,000 from the cutoff and Asi Moshe raised to 3,200 in the small blind. Dunnett called.

The {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop was checked by both players, and so was the {7-Spades} turn.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board and Moshe led for 600. Dunnett raised to 2,000 and Moshe showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} before laying down his hand. Dunnett tossed the {8-Spades} onto the table to show he turned the straight flush and dragged in the pot.

River Diamond Saves Fragoso

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Action was on the turn with the board reading {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Francisco Fragoso moved all in for 20,700 and was called quickly by Eric Kurtzman.

Fragoso was at risk with the {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} pair and a flush draw vs the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} top pair top kicker of Kurtzman.

The dealer procured the {j-Diamonds} on the river to elicit a clap and fist pump from Fragoso as his flush came home to keep his main event dream alive and stave off an early elimination.

Lam Rakes in Over 20,000 Chip Pot

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

On the river the board was {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and there were roughly 21,000 chips in the middle in the heads up pot. Roman Pipman checked to Vincent Lam and he checked back. "Queen," said Pipman as he tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, and Lam scooped the pot tabling {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} with a small fist pump.

Sandrock Among the Chip Leaders

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

The chair previously occupied by Marc Spitaleri is empty and his chips moved over one seat as Chris Sandrock has emerged as one of the biggest stacks in the room right now. When asked how he accumulated the chips, Sandrock mentioned that he made a set of fours when under the gun and Spitaleri had a set of treys.

Another big stack in the Purple section is Alex Livingston, who follows close behind Sandrock in the counts.

Moreno Wins Pot Against Backhouse

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With 12,000 in the middle to the {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, Johnnie Moreno checked and Chris Backhouse checked back. There was no action on the {7-Spades} turn and {a-Clubs} river either as all the tangle had taken place preflop. Moreno tabled the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} aces and sevens, and that ended up as the winning hand.

Okin Rivers a Straight and Gets Paid

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Picking up the action on a three-way turn of {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Jason Walsh bet 3,200 and was called by Brian Okin. Upeshka De Silva gave it some thought and opted to fold. On the {2-Hearts} river, Walsh bet 4,200 and Okin then raised it up to 9,700. A reluctant call by Walsh followed and Okin tabled the {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a straight to win the pot.

Wong Rebuilds With Aces

Nível 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Jerry Wong was spotted collecting some chips to rebuild his stack as his winning hand of {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} was showing as the dealer swept away the board and the losing hand of his opponent, who had just stood up and walked away without any chips.

Wong moved closer to starting stack with the pot as he had dropped down before 30,000 earlier in the day.
