Chang Takes a Chunk from Arieh

Nível 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action was picked up on a board of {3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades} with Danny Chang having fired out a bet of 1,050,000 chips and was called by Josh Arieh.

The dealer dealt the river card {8-Diamonds} and Chang moved all-in, which prompted a fold from Arieh who whirled his cards into the muck.

Colpoys' Turn to Double Up

Nível 26 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Dan Colpoys
Dan Colpoys

Dan Colpoys just found a lucky river to chop the pot and stay alive against Danny Chang, but the two of them were back at it again. Chang raised to 200,00 on the button and Colpoys shoved all in for 435,000 in the big blind which Chang called.

Dan Colpoys: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Danny Chang: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Both players were playing for the high hand only and the flop of {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} boded well for Colpoys. The {7-Spades} on the turn made things sweaty as Chang picked up a flush draw but the {3-Diamonds} on the river ensured Colpoys of a double up.

Jeff Gross
Jeff Gross

Jeff Gross raised the pot to 350,000 in the cutoff, leaving himself with just 20,000 chips behind. Anatolii Zyrin went all in from the small blind and Gross called off his last few chips.

Jeff Gross: {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Anatolii Zyrin: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} which left Gross in rough shape. The {3-Spades} on the turn gave Gross a flush draw but the {4-Clubs} on the river allowed Zyrin to scoop the pot and Gross was eliminated.

Dan Colpoys moved all-in on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} and was snap-called by Danny Chang.

The hands were tabled and it was the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a top set of eights held by Chang that was in the lead against the {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} held by Colpoys.

The dealer burned and turned the {k-Clubs} and Chang remained ahead.

The river card was the {q-Hearts} and that locked up the hand for Chang, which eliminated Colpoys in 4th place for which he took home $146,817 in cash.

Up and Down for Zyrin

Nível 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Danny Chang raised to 350,000 on the button and Anatolii Zyrin called from the small blind. The flop came {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Chang bet enough to put Zyrin all in for his last 400,000 chips. Chang showed {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Zyrin held {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and the river brought the {7-Hearts} to give Chang the best low hand and the two players chopped the high hand, leaving Zyrin with just under 400,000.

A couple of hands later, Zyrin raised to 350,000 on the button and was called by Josh Arieh and Chang. The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Arieh led out for 100,000. Chang raised to 1,000,000 and Zyrin stuck in the last of his 65,000 chips. Arieh contemplated but elected to fold.

Chang showed {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair and a flush draw while Zyrin held {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a straight draw and a low draw. The {4-Spades} on the turn changed nothing but the {8-Diamonds} on the river gave Zyrin half the pot.

Zyrin Doubles Through Chang

Nível 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Danny Chang bet enough to put Anatolii Zyrin all-in and was called.

The hands were tabled and it was the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} held by Chang that led the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} held by Zyrin.

The turn card was an {a-Spades} and opened extra doors for Zyrin.

The river card {3-Spades} was one of those doors, and Zyrin scooped with a wheel and chipped up to 1,175,000.
