Elias Doubles With a Full House

Nível 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Darren Elias was short-stacked and defended in the big blind against an early position raise in a three-way pot.

The early position opponent fired for 6,000 on the {5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop and Daniel Negreanu folded on the button, while Elias called.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and the early position opponent bet to put Elias all-in. He called.

Darren Elias: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Elias had flopped a set and had his opponent drawing dead heading to the {10-Clubs} river, which gave Elias a full house.

Nível 3 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Joao Vieira was one of the recent additions to the field and he wasted no time in picking up his first pot. The action was folded around to the blinds with just Vieira and Jonathan Jaffe still in the hand.

On a board reading {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Vieira tossed in a bet of 11,500 into a pot of around 20,000. Jaffe called and the {5-Clubs} completed the board. Vieira checked this time and Jaffe checked it back. Vieira tabled {k-Spades}{8-Clubs} and that was good enough to collect the pot.

Michael Liang was his adversary facing the big decision. The two players exchanged a few words and smiles back and forth before Liang eventually folded and Ligeri gathered in the big pot.

The turn brought the {9-Clubs} and Elias checked to Hunichen who ripped all in for just over 100,000. Elias only had less than 40,000 remaining and gave it some thought but elected to lay his hand down.
