Michael Liang shoved all in for his last 2,500,000 on the button and Tyler Cornell made a relatively quick call after looking at his cards.
Cornell was in a dominating position looking for his first WSOP gold bracelet. The dealer spread the flop of and Cornell took a commanding lead with a pair of aces. The on the turn gave Liang some hope with a flush draw, but the on the river only improved Cornell to two pair.
It was a short but interesting heads-up battle where Liang never gave up and started to mount a comeback, but Cornell was able to stave off some resistance to capture the title. A full recap of Cornell's victory will be posted shortly.
